“Needed a fun night out and realized you had karaoke. It was an unexpected pleasure. The host Doug was both fun and very professional. Excellent set up and some really amazing people there. Met some really amazing people. I recommend checking the Nor-Villa out Saturday nights. We will definitely go more often. It was fun being able to participate and do something instead of just sitting around drinking.”

“As always Maxime’s is one of Winnipeg’s finest places to dine. Amazing atmosphere, the service is top notch. The food is just exquisite, we had the lime grilled avocado stuffed chicken special, and it was one of the most incredible meals I have had in a long time. The soup was so delicious, I enjoyed every bite. Our wonderful waiter Darryl was just amazing, he was friendly, knew the specials (did a great job selling us on it) and was prompt with ordering, filling our waters and getting our dessert. He helped us to have the most wonderful restaurant experience. The staff are always friendly and polite. Thank you for an amazing dinning experience.”

“Ok so, this is a converted home into a hostel, it has a private bathroom, and the the bedrooms are privacy cubicles, with a privacy curtain and sockets at the head of the bed, it also has lockers as well. The staff were unbelievably accommodating and friendly! They even invited me to have dinner and wine before I left. I think the warm welcome of the staff and owner were by far the best part of this experience. It features a full kitchen and a full sitting room which is being used as a common room, it has a range of books, a guitar and a tv. The WiFi is free and fast and has a free breakfast every morning which is usually pancakes or granola yoghurt with coffee and tea. It’s rare to find a hostel like this, I’ve travelled extensively and never had such a warm welcome! I will certainly be back here. ☺️???”

“The River Gate Inn was without a doubt the best thing about my trip to Winnipeg. Don’t get me wrong: I loved the city! But it was the accommodations: the beautiful gardens, antique style furnishings, central location, and welcoming, refined atmosphere of the inn that made my trip unforgettable. Mavis’ gourmet complimentary breakfasts truly deserved a 3-star Michelin rating! As does the inn a 5-star rating here. I can’t recommend it too highly.”
