Brokenhead Wetland Interpretive Trail

Address: 1 km south of and 12, 59 Provincial Trunk Hwy 12, Beaconia, MB R0E 0B0, Canada

Park

“This is a relatively new trail, finished in 2016. We visited in September. Lots of boardwalk, so very easy hiking. Large diversity of vegetation, especially bog and marsh-type. Unusual plants like orchids, carnivorous and Ojibway medicinal plants in a beautiful setting. There are signs along the way explaining both the plants and what they mean to the Ojibway culture. It was fascinating in September. I plan to go again in early summer and hope to see some orchids blooming!”

Patricia Beach Provincial Park

Address: Beaconia, MB R0E 0B0, Canada

Park

“I like going to this beach because it is a little bit long along the shore and offers a lot of spots for privacy. I also feel that it is not as popular as the other beaches in Manitoba so it is not crowded a lot. Patricia beach is also the one beach I know in Manitoba that has a nude section. I have never gone to this section of this beach but for others who enjoy it, they definitely find a spot there.”
