Visited the Steels Ferry Overlook on September 18, 2022.

This is a beautiful and quiet spot just northeast of the campground. From the parking area, it’s a short walk to a wooden deck with amazing views looking out over the Assiniboine River and surrounding forest.

There is a short self guiding trail (Springridge Trail) that begins from here as well which looked gorgeous. However, there were signs saying that the footbridge was in need of repairs, so I didn’t hike it. Hopefully Parks is able to fix this soon!

Bridge is out (summer 2022) but still a nice hike!

Very pretty spot! We saw hawks, flowers and all kinds of bees. We heard owls. The path and area are well maintained and there is wheelchair/walker/stroller access. Nice spot to watch the clouds shadows float accross the valley. There is parking, a picnic shelter area (with fire pit and wood stove) and washrooms near by.

Great view after a short walk. Some informative plaques and a few seats for the weary hiker.
