Local hangout back when I was a teen. Haven't been back here in yrs. So nice to be back. Great little beach and park. #swingset #picnic #playground #shaded #autumnleaves
This was really a great park. They do charge if you are not a resident of the immediate area which is supposed to be good at keeping the beach and park areas clean and prevent crowding. Well it's somewhat clean but it certainly doesn't prevent the crowding. People come from all over and crowd the heck out of this park. I don't even go there on the weekends now because of how crowded it is. Even weekdays can be crowded. It's a shame, not too long ago it was a hidden gem. Now people crowd this place. Yeah, no idea why. As far as the parks concerned, there's a water pad and jungle gym for the kids, grills and picnic tables as well as a large beach area access. The reviewer complaining about the rocks clearly doesn't get out much. All beaches on the east side of the state are more rocky than sandy unless someone paid to have sand brought in.
It was cold out, but it was nicely decorated and I hadn't seen it in like years, I don't live here anymore
Beautiful beach with clean sand. it's a bit Rocky when you first go in so wear pool shoes. They have great playscapes for the kid's grills all over the place and tons of shade. They expanded the bathrooms so it's a lot nicer. Get there early or you won't get a parking space. Warning.. if your non-resident it's going to cost you 20 bucks to get in to the beach. But it's totally worth it. they also usually have a food truck there with ice cream and they have a place to rinse off your feet. Plus volleyball nets and you can buy ice.
This is a beautiful park that is awesome for families. There is a nice splash pad, fairly clean bathrooms too. Lots of rocks in the water so water shoes would be a great idea. 20$ parking charge for non residents is a bit steep, but still worth it.
