New interpretation center is not open this season. Assume that's because of Covid. There are portable toilets available beside the parking lot.

Trail to the beach is nice crushed stone so good for walkers and strollers. Last few meters is through the woods so a bit more complicated for mobility challenged. This year the weeds are encroaching on the path and haven't been cleaned up.

Unfortunately the afternoon we were there people had ignored the many signs telling visitors to stay off the beach so they had scared away and birds that might have been there.

Amazing place to walk on the beach at low tide. Island hopping is super fun, you could spend the entire low tide just walking on the beach here and still not explore everything. Definitely recommend spending a couple hours walking the beach here, just make sure that you get back before the tide comes up as it can move pretty fast.

New parking lot and center open during the summer. Great short trail to the beach, which is closed at times during migration. Bring a camera and just sit and observe. It's very calming, in all weather and seasons.

Beautiful area, lots of good nature to experience. Few people visit so it's nice. They are making improvements such as observation decks and a welcoming centre.

I love to go for a walk to the beach , please respect the sandpipers when they are feeding . They need to " fuel up " before their winter journey .
