Ballast Lodge

Ballast Lodge is the perfect location for a relaxing, replenishing weekend. We stayed in the beautiful guest house and couldn't get over the view. Our hosts Pat and Anita were warm, caring and they have thought of absolutely everything you could need or want for an easy and comfortable stay. My husband and I participated in the "together for good marriage retreat" and really enjoyed watching and discussing the video sessions on our own time. We also enjoyed strolling along the Fundy coast and made good use of the "gymbrary". We left feeling refreshed, connected and would highly recommend a weekend stay (or even longer) at the Ballast Lodge. We'll be back!

What an amazing place to rest!! The hosts are thoughtfully as present as you need them to be and at the same time considerate of the space of their guests. They are kind and fun and warm. The grounds are peacefully lovely and the views are breathtaking. The hiking is fantastic. The gymbrary offers space for indoor exercise, and games or books of one didn’t bring something of their own. The guest house and the cottage are clean and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is perfection. This is an oasis right here in Atlantic Canada. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

We enjoyed our stay at Ballast Lodge. It is a treasure tucked away in the village of Dorchester, NB. The facilities met all of our needs and then some. The property is well managed. Beautiful space to collect oneself. I would recommend friends and family visit Ballast Lodge.

We had a wonderful time away at Ballast Lodge. Pat and Anita were gracious and accommodating, and the location was fantastic with direct access to walking trails and the beach. The house and gymbrary were amazing! Can't wait to go back.

Our time at Ballast Lodge was a much needed time to refresh and recharge. The facilities are beautiful and It had everything we needed. Our time there was very peaceful, and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and many beautiful walks. The Newmans are very caring hosts, and are available to you but yet let you have your space. We definitely look forward to going back sometime and recommend Ballast Lodge.
