Great Baehre Swamp Wildlife Management Area

Great family place, lot's of beautiful places to explore,great play ground for kids.

Great place to walk. Plenty of wildlife to see.

This place is coming along nicely. They recently installed a new playground for the children. (I hear there are plans to expand the playground already). There are several trails to walk (both blacktopped and wooden plank). It's too bad Amherst's trails aren't maintained through the winter (like Clarence does), but it is a very nice place to go for a walk any time of the year. Speaking of winter, there is a nice sledding hill that gets plenty of use. Small parking area though.

A magical wetland forest dominated by giant red maple trees.

Great nature trail to walk with kids or dogs. You can see turtles in the summer and fall. Great playground for the kids too.
