Great Park always enjoy walking my dogs to it they enjoy the nice quiet setting nice open space to throw the frisbee
The town is trying to make this place nice. They have done some improvements to the parking and the amphi theatre in the last few years. The pond is new as well as some paved walking trails. (A nice feature) however, they are not maintained in the winter, which makes it difficult to enjoy the place through the colder months. Over all it is a nice place.
Nice place to walk and cross country ski. Amphitheater for concerts in the summer, playground, short trails, 2 small ponds and restrooms. Lovely underused park.
Park is real nice. Lots of open space. A shaded bocce court. A pond that is stocked with fish. They just remodeled the theater too.
Nice park, but pretty wide open. Definitely in need of many more trees and plants.
Free concerts are held under the new bandshell throughout the summer. It’s very relaxing sitting on a blanket near the pond listening to some really good live music.
There’s a small playground behind the (very clean), restrooms. No swings though, and only for the very young.
You’ll find a few really nice nature paths hidden in little pockets throughout the park; they’re perfect for a quiet stroll or cross country skiing. There are also some beautiful old trees in the back portion of the park.
But keep an eye out when going for a walk in this park; there are some people who think this is a dog park and let their dogs run off leash, even though the signs say it’s forbidden. And unfortunately, there are quite a few who feel they don’t have to clean up after their dog, so watch your step. Oh, and the REAL Paw Park is only a 10 minute drive from here. Go figure.
