“I love the food here, it's always fresh and the wait times aren't long. There are students mainly working here who do a fantastic job and making me feel welcome and also do a great job at being polite. However, many times I go there i see this particular woman who I'd assume is a manager be very rude to the students and others taking orders. She is also rude to deal with when she is personally taking orders. I'd just like someone to be aware of this in hopes she changes in the future. And to all other staff and the students especially you're doing a fantastic job!”

“Great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The prices were good and the portions were huge. Some of the food was a bit too salty but overall very tasty. The young lady who was serving was there by herself but she remained attentive and helpful...and always had a smile. She was very busy but did well to serve us in a timely manner. Will be stopping by again.”

“The food is good, the servers are fun and upbeat (which is nice to see in the morning), and the prices are very reasonable. We had the big breakfast and the name says it all. It is a big breakfast, cooked perfectly. Our favourite part was the freshly baked bread made right in their kitchen. We will definitely be going back the next time we're in the area.”

“I ended up eating several times at the Stone Jug during my stay in Newfoundland. Every visit was a “five” rating. Unlike the other pubs and restaurants I ate at in Newfoundland, the Stone Jug offered fresh, from scratch, non-fried foods. All the meals I ordered were excellent. If I had to recommend only three things, it would be: 1) The seafood chowder 2) The fishcakes 3) The Shepard’s pie The woodwork, stonework, lighting and open kitchen creates an atmosphere like no other restaurant that I have dined in. The restaurant also has good entertainment in the evenings. They use local music performers. I would definitely eat at the stone jug again. Go see it for yourself!”
