This is a great family park.
Everyone had their own space on the beach, there is some shade, picnic tables and seats available, canteen and clean washrooms.
You can rent kayaks and canoes.
Swimming area is roped off and it's not too deep, so kids can be having fun while remaining safe.
It is a lake, so there are leeches and minnows - which the kids loved to try and catch, so bring a bucket!
We live roughly 30 mins away, so we stayed hours and my kids were not disappointed!
Freezies were only $1 for the jumbo ones (bonus!)
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy :)

The ONLY downside I keep having with this being a "family" park is parents letting their small (and older) children go naked here. I think there should be something said when children are running around with no clothes on. Yesterday a (female) child approx 10 to 12 had come out to talk to their family member from the changing room - naked on the beach. Meanwhile the same family allowed a female child approx 2/3 to run bottomless all around the swimming area. I had my two boys there aged 8 and 12 and I don't feel that this is appropriate behavior for a public park.
This is the third time we've encountered families allowing children to go naked while we have been there and my children ask questions about it. Please stop letting your children go naked in public spaces.

Clean, attractive, large, fun, lots of wildlife. A family-friendly park with public wasrooms and outhouses. Norm the Gnome has a house here and there is a painted shark. Please help to keep the park clean!

The view was great and the beach wasn't busy when my niece and I camped there. Nice to have the beach a few steps a way and Sandy Bottom Lake is a great lake.

When we were there their well had a boil order in place. When I took a shower and it smelled like bleach, it made me very itchy so stopped showering and just went swimming.

The bathrooms need a reno and they only have one shower. They have two outhouses, one for men and one for women and the bathhouse with men's and women's lockers rooms. I didn't go into the men's locker room, but the women's has one larger bathroom (handicapped one) with a chair and a sink. The other is a water closet without a sink. There are two sinks in the locker area and a long bench.

There is one shower. Getting it working was confusing at first because I originally thought the slots to pay was perhaps left over from a washer. The price is 25 seconds for 5 minutes. We ended up calling showers our $1 showers because we took 10 minute showers.

The canteen was out of a lot of things because it was the end of the season, but they had good nachos and things like ice cream, frozen yogurt and popsicles. They had hot dogs too. They were put of ice but very kindly ordered some.

The beach is small but is nice. There is a volley ball net and canoes, kayaks, and peddle boats that can be rented for a cheap price. They do not rent them out anymore after 5 pm. We had a great time in the kayaks but our favorite thing to do was swimming. There is a life guard on duty sometimes and a shallow end roped off. There isn't a lot to do there so it is good that is something we love to do. It is a good base to go to other places though.

The campgrounds were clean, but keep in mind that the ground is soft and it can get windy so bring extra stakes if you are tenting. There are fire pits available and firewood is available at the canteen. The campsites are a great price and there are serviced sites (electricity and water) for only $27 and they have 2 bedroom cottages Jr. cottages available too.

Another nice thing about Raven Haven is that free wifi is available so we could watch netflix at night. The staff were friendly too.

While there were some negative things at Raven Haven, we had a great time. I would recommend this place.
