The lunch deal three for 12 dollars is great. I had the fish, chicken and beef cheek tacos. The fried chicken and fish where both delicious. I was not a huge fan of the beef cheek but it was my first time trying the meat. All around great place to grab food and a drink.
The lunch menu is the best value you gonna get. Their chicken based tacos are awesome.
This start-up Mexican restaurant is renting space in an old pub and is a little off-putting on first entry. It is also a bit hard to find although they have a sign below the Gus's Pub sign. You order off the menu on the wall and pay. Your food is delivered to the table you choose. Drinks are available at the other end of the pub at the bar area.
The service was friendly and the chicken tacos we ordered were surprisingly good. I sincerely wish these entrepreneurs good luck in their new business.
Best tacos in town. Hands down. Fresh ingredients, amazing staff, great selection and there's even a crispy tofu option! Frequently changing specials, homemade hot sauces and marinades and they even make their own flour shells. (corn shells are available too) don't miss out on this place, you'll love it.
Waited awhile for this place to open up and got to try it for lunch on an overcast Tuesday, their first week open. I'd been a weekly regular at the former Vandal Doughnuts spot inside Gus' Pub, where this place has taken over, so I had a rough idea what to expect. You walk in the door and it's a small take-out counter, but people are able to use the tables in the pub. Business inside another business. Locals know this place is considered a rusty dive bar, but whatever, it's the food that matters. The tacos were as delicious as I expected. I tried the Baja Fish Taco for $4, the Fried Avocado Taco for $4 and Carne Asada for $5 (marinated skirt steak, salsa verde, radish, onions, cilantro, salsa roja). All pretty messy to eat, but all bursting with flavor and not sure which one was my favorite...maybe the fish, maybe the avocado. lol My friend inhaled his two Fried chicken tacos ($5) and I will have to order that one next time. The menu is small, with only eight varieties, but that's fine. Some side things you can order too, nachos, beans, fries, jalapeno poppers, chips with guac & salsa. Friendly staff. I can't wait to go back.
