“I live in Halifax, but I'm thinking of moving to Inverness because one of the best massage therapists in Nova Scotia is now there. Sheena, thank you for helping me with my tinnitus, my back, and the terrible pain I suffered after a bad surgery, the people there are very lucky to have you!!!!”

“I just started working here and I love it. My coworkers are the best. The kitchen offers amazing food. Great variety. Unique products that you won’t find anywhere else. Staff discount for anybody working with Cabot. I may be biased because I work here, but I think it’s amazing and I’m very lucky for the opportunity to work so close to home with great coworkers.”

“The food rates higher but the service is really slow. There were three in our party and we all ordered the fish and chips which were a very large, delicious serving. The fries were just right and the fish was well cooked with a crispy batter. The only problem was the homemade tartar sauce had garlic and way too much of it and the coleslaw had a bit of a kick to it.”

“Ordered a burger from Coal Miners over the holidays and wow, very impressive in size and taste. I had the mountie burger with fries which are freshly cut, the burger was so tasteful and big I could barely finish it. I made the effort to eat the burger and have my fries last, which I didn't finish. The amount of food you get for the price is so worth a stop and eat in or take out. The staff are very friendly and helpful, very typical of a small town and especially Cape Breton. Highly recommended for either breakfast, lunch or supper and evening snacks.”

“We stopped by for a snack while passing by. It's very nicely designed. Large, spacious. Tables are not too cramped. We ordered the seafood burger and the brew burger. We also tried their beer as a drink. We didn't like the burgers. The fries were pretty bad. It may be because it is close to closing hours. The beers were very good unlike the food.”

“A big shout out to Miss Brenna of the Corner Store in Inverness, Cape Breton. Finding her shop through the internet was a stroke of luck. I contacted her via email regarding a gift for a family member who lives in the local area. She was amazing to chat with and extremely helpful. Her assistance in putting together the gift and delivery within a short time frame was nothing beyond outstanding. I would definitely recommend her shop. And cannot wait to stop in for a visit the next time I am in Cape Breton.”

“Stopped in today, famished, after Run Mabou and had the most delicious breakfast sandwiches - bacon, egg, avocado, cheddar, tomato, arugula on a toasted bagel - which we inhaled. We’ll definitely be returning for a meal whenever we’re in town!”

“The food and service are excellent. It's one of the very few restaurants that remain open outside of the tourist season in Cape Breton as well. But the absolute highlight of this restaurant is the sunset. You must come here to enjoy the view of the sunset! There are chairs outside as well so you can sit there and just enjoy the sun go down. Absolutely gorgeous.”
