“We just spent two fantastic days at Valley Sky! We had one beautiful day and night, which we spent outside by the fire. The stillness under the stars at night is so peaceful. Even though the weather turned cold and rainy the next day, it was still very enjoyable in the hot tub and cozied up by the fire inside the dome. Great proximity to many wineries, breweries and dining options. It has lots of space and everything you need, inside and out, with so much attention to detail. Such a great escape just an hour from the city :)”

“The Inn has fallen into a state of disrepair. So sad to see as I have stayed there maybe 10 years ago. At that time it was very impressive, a beautiful and well kept old inn. We stayed there this past weekend and it's in poor shape. The lawns weren't mowed for some time, weeds growing rampant in the flower beds and bushes, paint peeling here and there and carpets badly frayed in some places. It looks like the owners no longer care about keeping it in good condition anymore.We booked an executive suite and never got it - had to settle for a downgrade. All in all it was a disappointing experience.”

“Locust & Starr Inn was the reception venue for my wedding this year (September 2020) and it was absolutely perfect! Because of the pandemic, I had a very small wedding, but I still wanted to have a fancy celebration afterwards. Lisa helped me connect with a local chef and we planned a wonderful three-course dinner at her Inn. On the day-of, we had champagne and canapes outside, and then we moved into the Inn’s vibrant dining room to eat. The space is beautiful, and Lisa added many special touches for us! We had music, delicious food, and great fun! My new husband and I were able to take off at the end of the evening and some of our guests were able to stay right there and sleep for the night. No need to drive home after a night of celebrating! Lisa served us and made sure everything ran smoothly – and it did! She is a terrific host with a gorgeous Inn! And I was a happy bride!”

“Great place to stay with the current pandemic situation. Everything is done virtually and is extremely easy. The rooms were clean. We had 6 people total and it was definitely tight, but the woman we spoke to on the phone was very upfront and honest this might be the case. The location was amazing and there was tons to do right around the hotel, including a brewery/restaurant with great food across the street. Parking can be a bit tricky to find though.”

“We had 3 rooms for an overnight stay with dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. Could NOT be happier with how the staff were and the quality of the rooms and food...totally outstanding! We loved this Inn, old world beauty with modern updates. Perfect. The food in the dining room was outstanding as was the service. Michael at the front desk was amazing...they gave us a private dining area, printed Happy 80th on the menu for us and let us check in early to decorate some and prepare. Cannot say enough about how much we loved it...THANK you...”
