“We were a party crowd who stationed over at the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp Resort in the summer of 2020 and we had a gala time while there. Our splish splash sessions were super fun, followed by various rec activities. Squeaky clean common bathrooms and luscious green surroundings are a sure mention for those of you who want to have some good time like us this year because we are definitely doing this all over again.”

“We've been seasonals for 15 years now. This truly is our home away from home. We love it here and hope to be here for many more years. Best campground you'll ever try!!”

“This place is one of the nicest campgrounds in North America. The pine forest there is well maintained and beautiful to walk through during a stay there. It's a family run business that has been operating since the late fifties I think and the owners are very accommodating to reasonable requests and run a tight ship. My family and I enjoyed a visit so much that we put a permanent seasonal trailer in there. Your kids will love this place.”

“Great place to chill out and relax. Definitely don't get on the owners bad side though as they can become heated very quickly. Only downside is if something happens over weekends, it can ruin it for everyone, which is a bummer especially for the seasonal campers whom pay a fee each year to camp there..”

“My family and I have been to South Mountain several times over the last 8 years. We've always enjoyed our experience there and our kids always left happy. This year we felt we were ready to be seasonal campers and South Mountain was the place we wanted to be. Scott and Kim made that happen for us and we are beyond excited. Hands down the cleanest and best campground for kids, we love it there.”

“I like this place cause the flowers are good”

“The site is mainly geared at RVs, my review is related to tent sites. The sites are flat and sheltered from the morning sun, but they are right on the main road which is loud at time. There is no electricity outlets available to inflate your air mattress and the trash box is far away. There are no washing station for utensils and pots, but there is one tap on a post. There is a washroom facility with a tiny shower. There isn't much ventilation in there. There isn't much space to dry yourself without touching the wet ceramic walls and it will cost you 4 quarters to operate the shower. At $43 for a basic tent site, the need to go find quarters to use a shower is a quite frustrating.”

“I went in about 3 KMS in and wished I had more time to keep going. There were several beautiful sites to look at along the way. The river runs parallel to the trail. There are beautiful old trees. Rock wall formations - you can tell the locals take care of this spot! Mushroom species were discovered. A great fishing spot. Several spring run offs coming down off the hillside. It's a great 'pick me upper' hike and to get out of the everyday rut.”

“This is a great place to camp if you're looking for a nice quiet spot, but still like being close to everything. Sites were very spacious, washrooms clean and the campground was peaceful and quiet all week (it does get very, very windy). The campground itself looked like it could use some maintenance, though it didn't really bother us. Separately, the views from across the road are amazing and a great plus. The ice cream is delicious, but be warned that the scoops are enormous.”

“Beautiful scenery and beach. Picnic areas, hiking trails”

“It's a great RV site... good for kids... I was tenting... I was looking for more of a nature type camping spot which seems to be nil in this area other than Blomindon.”

“Very interesting place! The jams and jellies and ice creams are great. The garden is good for a stroll in the summer but come late fall, it looks like its straight out of a Tim Burton's movie and in all honesty, I enjoyed the fall version a TON.”

“Nice spot to unwind a little while driving the valley. Beautiful view.”

“A bit tough to find, but worth a visit. Pretty beach with possibility of finding fossils. Nearby museum has simple exhibits showcasing the importance of this fossil site to science. Note that the beach has no facilities save one outhouse near the path to access it. It is unsupervised.”
