“My husband contacted Nancy (the owner and primary tour guide) to arrange to join her beer tour for my birthday. We had seen her beautiful tour bus on the waterfront of Lunenburg on a visit last year, but unfortunately due to covid hadn't had the opportunity to take a tour. Well! I have to honestly say, I have taken tours around the world - Paris, Germany, New Zealand and more. This topped them all, hands down. Nancy made this tour a fully customized, once in a lifetime experience. I understand that things don't always happen this way, but on this occasion it was just myself and my husband for this tour. Nancy really went above and beyond! When we stepped on the bus she played a birthday bash song and we found the bus was decorated with birthday decor and banners. We were taken around Lunenburg and it's neighbouring suburbs for fabulous views at sunset, photo ops, beer and all this accompanied by a tour/storytelling customized to our interests. On our last stop for great local cider and live music, she even had a birthday cake and candle hidden away for me! Nancy and Seaweed tours really went beyond the norm and took that step into exceptional. Nancy was engaging, friendly, knowledgeable, fun and most of all - you can tell she loves what she does. If you want to see the area, support an absolutely deserving small business and have a great time - I can't recommend this company enough!!! Thank you Nancy!!!”

“Soooo beautiful. I recommend anyone out of province to visit. It has so many small local shops. The buildings are so colourful. We watched the bluenose 2 take off and it was super cool. The sidewalks were fairly crowded and you will have to parallel park and walk down to the waterfront or you can pay at a parking lot. Very cool antique shop right on the water”

“Great and interesting place with the information presented well. Also in a great location and a small beach to walk on. Entry is a donation, so give generously.”

“During a short visit to Lunenburg in October, I had the pleasure of taking two tours with Lunenburg Walking Tours. I arrived in the evening, and wanted to make the most of my time so I was thrilled to see that they offer a ghost tour of the town. Paula was our guide - and I was tickled to be guided by a fellow Brit who'd settled in Lunenburg! - and she was delightful - funny, kind and knowledgeable, happy to answer everyone's questions. The tour is a good mix of local history and spooky local legends, brought alive by the guide, the dark, and the stunning buildings. Giving guests a lantern to carry with them is a lovely touch and adds to the atmosphere. I enjoyed the evening very much and would advise that although it seems you'll be walking uphill, there are lots of breaks, and it's not strenuous at all. It was especially lovely to go into the famous church at night. The next morning, I took the Essential Lunenburg tour with Alison who was equally delightful! She is very engaging and knowledgeable, and there were plenty of funny anecdotes throughout the tour. She demonstrated a clear love for the beautiful historical buildings in the town and the history behind them. The walk followed a downhill route to the harbour, taking lots of stops along the way. If you're in Lunenburg for a short time, I strongly recommend this tour company. They are very friendly, knowledgeable people with a lot of love for their town and it's infectious. They helped me maximise the small amount of time I had to experience Lunenburg.”

“Loved this place. Bought a bunch of gin and vodka to take home. People were friendly, chatty and gave us a lot of information about the distillery that endeared us so much to make several purchases. Apparently, all the ingredients are entirely local. And they have these sophisticated distilling devices custom made in Germany. And, I think the building (historically) used to be a blacksmith.”

“Great little fishing spot off the dock. Mackerel are plentiful here, you just need the right feather tackle and there are two spots to cast off that the schools like to linger around.”
