I have been at the Oak Island Marina for 6 years and have been very impressed the last couple of years! The food has been much better these last 2 years since the new chef has arrived.
The marina manager, Marc, is always very helpful and easy to talk to. He is always able to figure out solutions to any issues which may arise. Oak Island Resort & Marina is lucky to have such a dedicated employee.
Now the resort just needs to figure out how they are going to have another Autism centered weekend. They had one a couple of seasons ago, then they canceled their next Autism weekend without much communication or explanation to the families. The Autism weekend was amazing for my sister and she still talks about it to this day... the ball is now in your court to organize and schedule another weekend!

Good spot . Needs a make over with the rooms as the walls are paper thin. Location is everything for this hotel . Amazing view and good amenities

Food was awesome the first night. The head chef was cooking and everything was absolutely delicious, including the cocktails! The picture is from the first night and it was so good we ended up eating there again the next night. The menu isnt big so I ordered this same meal and I should have taken a picture but didnt think to. The food was completely different. It was still good but the bun was smaller like by a lot and was a different bun all together. Looked more like the burgers I assume they use on the kids menu or something. Anyway the food is good but not consistent. Chalet was dirty and I would NOT STAY the night there again. Musical entertainment was great for the evening we stayed and listened. Was just a guy and a guitar but he was entertaining. Dinner and drinks yes, overnight stay no thanks! Recommend the patio for dinner with the fire table.

The chalet was clean awesome view and cozy. The food was excellent and I mean every meal. The staff at oak Island resort are amazing. Very friendly and are the most cheerful staff ever. A big shout out to Lucy for making our stay very memorable. We will definitely be back.
