“I wish I could have stayed longer, but we were on foot (owner offered us a drive) and just wanted to get something to eat. Doors were just opening, we were in no rush, but my phone was dying. Owner loaned me a charger. We mixed up some Nachos and Chicken Wings, which were more than filling, fast and tasty. Good wings, I chose a medium hot, and Nachos ( I sampled before commenting) just like they should be, plenty of toppings and side salsa/cream. Service was excellent, and friendly staff. My phone still wasn't topped up, so, no photos, but here's what I saw; Clean family restaurant-bar, weekend entertainment, known bands. Impressively clean for a nightly bar. Uses a shuttle service at night. Well done! Pleasant experience, you should try to stop in at least once, if you are just visiting the area. I would definitely go back again.”

“The Marina Bar and Grill has a wonderful waterfront adjacent location in scenic Pictou, only 15 minutes from the New Glasgow hub. We stopped in for a meal and decided to eat in "the boathouse" section of the restaurant, a screened in section, water facing. Our waitress was very friendly, and even though a drink I had requested was not on the menu, she was able to put it together for me, which was appreciated. I had the hot turkey sandwich and fries which was delicious and piping hot, fries were crispy coated and tasty, and my husband got the clubhouse which looked amazing. He said that it tasted even better (and he also loved the fries)! We treated ourselves to desert, he had the famous Blueberry Grunt and I had the strawberry shortcake, two Nova Scotia favorites that will never steer you wrong. We enjoy our visits to the Marina, especially on a hot day with a cold beer, and we look forward to the summer and the patio!”

“We had a great meal at The Thistle The fish and chips are the best I've had. Large pieces of fresh haddock deep fried in a light batter. The chips are home fries. Don't forget to try a deep fried Mars bar :). Excellent service! I would highly recommend”

“Nice local bar friendly staff and patrons. Various domestic beers and local spirits available. Great venue for live music and events. The decor screams days of old with stuffed animal trophies and fish. Also many vintage beer posters mugs and the lot. They offer bar food (wings burger etc.). As well as gambling games to keep you occupied! In winter there is open mic and karaoke as well as pool and various games. When in westville you better visit!”
