“A hidden gem located on the Pictou Waterfront. Atmosphere was nice and seating was well spaced out and not cramped. Food and service were amazing. We started with the garlic fingers which were hot and cheesy. Then I had the Donair wrap and fries and my husband had the fish and chips, which were both piping hot and full of flavor. We will definitely be back!”

Not only did they still accept my gift card but I made out like a bandit on my two-piece fish and chips! 😝 Fries were hot and crispy, fish was excellent, slaw as well as the staff were awesome! “This place is a small diner style restaurant that has decent food. I went here with the group of work colleagues I was traveling with and we all thought it was good. The coffee could be better, but it wasn't the worst I've ever had. We thought the waitress was unintentionally funny because when I ordered a meal without bacon or sausage, she seemed shocked and said, "No meat?" She was even funnier when one of my colleagues ordered the Big Boy Breakfast and she looked at him and said, "You want the Big Boy?" Her delivery when asking the question was hilarious, as she asked in a way that was just as shocked as me not ordering meat. Anyway, I would eat here again. 4 stars.”

“I had been craving fish and chips for months but wasn't sure where in / around New Glasgow to go to. This place was recommended to me and I have to say I really enjoyed my fish and chips. Service was fast, fish was fresh, and price was fair. My friend had the sweet and sour fish and said it was excellent. Neither of us had room for dessert but it looked good and was very tempting to get some. I will just have to get it next time because I will be coming back to eat here again. I definitely recommend giving them a try.”

“The atmosphere is super chill, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. We stopped in for our first time on a Saturday night; the place was packed and the music was live and wonderful! We ordered some food and it was fast, hot and delicious. We stayed and had a few drinks and listened to the music and just enjoyed the space. Great spot and we will be back!”

“I wish I could have stayed longer, but we were on foot (owner offered us a drive) and just wanted to get something to eat. Doors were just opening, we were in no rush, but my phone was dying. Owner loaned me a charger. We mixed up some Nachos and Chicken Wings, which were more than filling, fast and tasty. Good wings, I chose a medium hot, and Nachos ( I sampled before commenting) just like they should be, plenty of toppings and side salsa/cream. Service was excellent, and friendly staff. My phone still wasn't topped up, so, no photos, but here's what I saw; Clean family restaurant-bar, weekend entertainment, known bands. Impressively clean for a nightly bar. Uses a shuttle service at night. Well done! Pleasant experience, you should try to stop in at least once, if you are just visiting the area. I would definitely go back again.”

“We went to visit Alladin on a Saturday. We were pleasantly greeted by the friendly owner. We placed our order and sat at the outdoor seating. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate, hummus, Baba ganoush, and tabbouleh. Best tabbouleh I have ever eaten. The chicken shawarma wrap and hummus was also yummy. Lovely service by the owners (and their cute little girl). We will definitely return.”

“The Marina Bar and Grill has a wonderful waterfront adjacent location in scenic Pictou, only 15 minutes from the New Glasgow hub. We stopped in for a meal and decided to eat in "the boathouse" section of the restaurant, a screened in section, water facing. Our waitress was very friendly, and even though a drink I had requested was not on the menu, she was able to put it together for me, which was appreciated. I had the hot turkey sandwich and fries which was delicious and piping hot, fries were crispy coated and tasty, and my husband got the clubhouse which looked amazing. He said that it tasted even better (and he also loved the fries)! We treated ourselves to desert, he had the famous Blueberry Grunt and I had the strawberry shortcake, two Nova Scotia favorites that will never steer you wrong. We enjoy our visits to the Marina, especially on a hot day with a cold beer, and we look forward to the summer and the patio!”

Food quality was okay, but not reflecting how much the dish costs. Take out is strange as it comes with a dollar store plate that is to be brought back. Interesting touch, but unexpected.
