Grandview Motel

Wasn't anything special..but in the perfect spot
Rooms are tiny clean and charming
Didn't really need help with anything
Would have given a five star but they had the refrigerator unplugged when we got there ..my partner didn't realize it unti the next morning and our drinks were warm.

Had such a fantastic time back in august at the grand view. The motel itself was very clean and in such a nice location. Air conditioning in the unit, and hot water from the shower. A short walk away from the Visitors Centre (lookout point) and another short walk away from Coconut Joes or the main marina of Tobermory. Coffee/tea is included and ice is always available. Fantastic experience. Would highly recommend

Just spent 4 wonderful days here. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely done. Lovely areas for sitting outside on 3 different decks. The view of the chi-cheemaun coming in and out is great as well as other boat tours. Lovely sunsets as well. Close enough to town you can walk but quieter than in town. I would definitely recommend this quaint little motel. Very clean. Thanks

This is not the motels fault…..My only issue was out of the 4 nights 3 were interrupted with noisy people in the room next door. 2 nights were one set of customers, 1 night was a different bunch. There should be someone to contact when there’s an issue. I did send a text to a cell number that was on my email confirmation but didn’t get a reply.

Overall, I really enjoyed this stay and would book again. Service was great, the spot was perfect…walking distance from most things. Quality linens, comfortable bed, good quality towels, and the wifi worked well. We just had a couple of minor issues that I think would be really easy fixes. First, it seemed like the rooms maybe were recently renovated- they’re really cute and homey. But our door wasn’t quite fitted well enough to use the deadbolt, which I would have preferred. The area is super safe with that being said. Also, a small curtain for the small window on the bedroom would have been nice to keep the early morning light out. Finally, this isn’t the fault of the hotel, but a heads up would have gone a long way. There were fireworks kind of late at night (after 10 pm) when we were trying to sleep. It sounded like they were going off right outside our door. It scared us. Other hotels close by probably experienced the same thing, but for far out of towners like ourselves, a warning would have been appreciated! Overall, highly recommend this spot and would stay again.
