Coconut Joe's Harbour Bar and Grill

Kinda like the Millennium Falcon... it doesn't look like much but it's got everything in all the right places, if I quoted Han Solo correctly.

Fantastic food, great servers and a nice atmosphere of music in the background, set along the water.

My wife and I shared the coconut shrimp to start and then both had the cheeseburger in Tobermory paradise as a main.

She threw back a couple of the mermaid water drinks rather quickly, saying how yummy they were. I settled for a shot of Wiser's whisky since they didn't serve my fave Jack Daniel's.

The place is kinda tucked behind a building, and we actually walked past it once while searching for it. We were both tired from the long drive up from Toronto and didn't clue into to where it was, even with the sign near the road.

We'll be back to try more of the menu next summer.

My only wish is that they opened earlier than 4 PM as I tend to have a bigger lunch and light dinner. But I can handle it for one day.

My husband and I just left Coconut Joes and it was the kind of meal, where you want to hug the chef after! The meal was so delicious, we didn’t want it to end! We had the coconut shrimp, mussels and all three tacos and we had all positive things to say about them! The drinks were so yummy and the details the bartender put on them were so cute and made the experience that much better! Our server Lex was wonderful! She was very informative and did such a wonderful job making our experience so great! Michael the owner was there while we were enjoying our meal and it was so nice to see him interacting with costumers and you could see his passion towards his restaurant! Thank you for the best experience, we can’t wait to return!! Plus it was our honeymoon so it made it so much better!!!

Visited for dinner. Had the curried mussels, jerk chicken dinner, and pulled pork sandwich. The jerk chicken was delicious with a generous portion. Mussels were good but may have needed more bread to soak up the sauce (was $4 for extra bread). The chips with the pulled pork seemed a little stale/not too crunchy.

Great view on the patio, especially at sunset. Has free parking.

The best place to eat in Tobermory that we found by accident. Just at the end of the quai. A beautiful place, great atmosphere, nice staff and most importantly amazing food! The must have a good chef, because everything looked and smelled great. We had two very yummy cocktails, tacos tasted very delicious and the jerky chicken was truly satisfying. We had a Kilian pie for dessert that I was not a fan.
The prices were acceptable relative to the location and ambiance.

Best sunset viewing patio in Tobermory. Our group of 6 watched the Netflix episode of "Restaurant on the edge", Mike is hands down the humblest guy on the planet, we get to meet him in the flesh and we were happy to support his business...it's what we do best.
They don't take reservations, limited operation time so be sure to plan well ahead.
We pretty much ordered everything on the menu, we wanted a taste of it all. Our tummies were very happy, highly recommend Coconut Joe's, staff were excellent, service is great and you won't be disappointed.
