“The best way to go back n forth to Manitoulin Islands from mainland Ontario. Magnificent sights through out the route and a very cool ferry with a huge parking lot for around 150 cars. There is a nice floating restaurant on the cruise and some really good seating spots on the rear side of the boat. The reservations are almost a must as if gets totally full on almost all weekends. Total of 3 trips per day from both sides are planned well to cater to all your plans and definitely worth the experience. Definitely recommend this route instead of going all the way up North through the road bridge in Little Currents. Not too much of time difference but a lot more convenient and relaxing journey worth every penny.”

“My husband and I just left Coconut Joes and it was the kind of meal, where you want to hug the chef after! The meal was so delicious, we didn’t want it to end! We had the coconut shrimp, mussels and all three tacos and we had all positive things to say about them! The drinks were so yummy and the details the bartender put on them were so cute and made the experience that much better! Our server Lex was wonderful! She was very informative and did such a wonderful job making our experience so great! Michael the owner was there while we were enjoying our meal and it was so nice to see him interacting with costumers and you could see his passion towards his restaurant! Thank you for the best experience, we can’t wait to return!! Plus it was our honeymoon so it made it so much better!!!”

“During our recent trip to Tobermory, we stumbled upon this delightful bakery and café. The coffee was a perfect pick-me-up, and the cakes and cookies were absolutely fresh and delicious. It was a sweet surprise in this charming small town. If you're in Tobermory and in need of a coffee and dessert fix, make sure not to miss this gem! A perfect discovery during our trip! Happy travellers 🥰”

“I write this review with mixed feelings. There was only one person to run everything, he was very welcoming and accommodating. There was no hot water or electricity, I'm a low maintenance person, so overall I enjoyed my stay. Beautiful property, needs better maintenance. Seems like the new owners bought it with no real understanding of the wilderness.”

“We've rented a nearby cramping site and this location is a life saver. Serves as the only location in the vicinity to offer minimum necessary supplies. Also offer full service petro/diesel refill station. Please be advised this store might close early something, it's better to call ahead to confirm. We had this issue twice and had to drive back 15 km each time. A pain I know. Other than that, OK Service, am happy with it 🙂👍”

“Another amazing evening at the Taste Kitchen in Lion's Head Ontario. This time with our children . They had the poutine. One had the pulled pork and the other had the brisket. My husband had the Pad Thai again. Loved it as much as he did last trip up. I had the Big Kahuna burger. Everything was hot and freshly made. The fries were the best we ever had. Service was very friendly and professional. You can feel the love and care that is given to every detail. As my 12 yr old said... his life is now complete! Can't wait to go back for our anniversary next week. May even sneak in an extra visit for their fish and chips. Reservation are strongly recommended!”

“Really tasty. People are correct to rave about the subs, they're tasty. The sign saying "RIBS TODAY" drew our attention, and the ribs were worth it too. Great diner coffee. People inside all seemed to know one another, lots of regulars. I liked the sausage, my wife less so. All in all, good reliable eats.”

“The best pizza i have had in such a long time. Would recommend calling in advance so that they can keep the pizza ready. Tried the Brownie and Nanaimo bar as well, and they were too good. It was very nice chatting with the current business owners. It's sad that they have to sell the business but I'm 💯 percent sure wherever they go, they will do amazing. Best wishes, folks! P.S. The business hours that show up on Google search is not accurate at the moment. So if you are in the mood for having a pizza just call them up and check, I'd suggest.”

“Stayed here while I was hiking the bruce trail. Bed was comfortable, towels were thick and nice, water pressure was not great but for a country property it is expected. Room was clean. Restaurant food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. All around this place was outstanding.”

“We were in town to visit the provincial parks and stopped here for a quick bite. We walked into a warm wholesome atmosphere and greeted with friendly faces. We ordered 2 bagel sandwiches and they were phenomenal! The ingredients were fresh, everything was made to order, and they were very health conscious. Coffee was also delicious!!! Would highly suggest making a stop at this place. Truly a business of passionate people made with love. 5/5.”

“A new look for By the Bay General store, complete with a Beer and Liquor Store (Adult candy store)! The Fish and chips was “Awesome “ as usual! The only place where the Liquor and beer store manager, hardware store manager, grocery department manager, waiter and greeter is the same guy!”

“The place to stop when visiting the peninsula to stock up on all the beef. This shop carries products from other prouducers too making it a one stop meat shop. Check ahead for open hours. When they are closed you can preorder and they'll put it in their clever pick up freezer.”

“We loved everything we ordered. From salad, chicken, soup, and dip/dressing, everything is very delicious. Fresh salad and no after taste. Chicken is very tender and juicy. The soup is very yummy and healthy. Glad we found this restaurant along our way. The service was superb too and they have a very nice ambience inside and outside of the restaurant. Good finds indeed.”

“I was up in the area for a business trip for a couple days and didn't pack much to eat, luckily there was a grocery store where I was staying. I came close to closing hours and there were employees running around and working hard keeping things organized and the check out line running smoothly. For such a small town, there was plenty of good options for food, including fresh produce, cut meats, pre-made sandwiches and pizzas and salad kits, breads, cheeses, and of course aisles full of packaged snacks, goods, and plenty of frozen foods as well, all of which foods I purchased tasted great. The prices weren't ideal but nonetheless understandable considering the size and location of the town. Overall, this is a nice store.”

“Dog friendly patio and very friendly staff. The fish & chips were great, as was the burrito bowl. We each had a beer to top off our lunch after exploring Lion's Head Lookout (beautiful views, btw - well worth the hike).”

“Excellent wood fired pizzas. Excellent service and host. Beats most of the restaurants around Tobermory. Fries were awesome. Ingredients used in pizza were fresh out of the garden. Must try even if it’s 30 mins away from Tobermory town.”

“The camp ground that has everything you need! Such a great place for families. We have stayed at several of the unserviced lots on water side - A6 A7 are gems and our favorite! It's a shared lot right at the waters edge so nice to have your own spot on the water. Some rocks and mucky sand, shallow with a dock. The grounds are great! There is always some activities for kids or adults. Nice courts, playgrounds, pool tables..anything you could want! We had multiple ice cream visits at the store (which honestly has everything you could need should you run out of basics) and enjoyed pizza from the cafe. The kids always want to visit the inflatables which can be challenging for all!”

“Shoreline Cafe has been a staple on every trip to Summer House Park. The breakfast is hot, delicious, and reasonably priced. The staff are wonderful and we leave happy and ready for the day. Who doesn't love bottomless coffee?!”

“Wow! What a treat. Picking a meal off the meal was so hard. Everything sounded delicious. I had the trout and my girlfriend had the beef. Both dishes were fantastic. We also had the love pot for dessert. You must try this if you go. One seating at 6pm. Looked like they had about 7-8 tables. Made the whole experience very special. The two gentlemen that run the restaurant were a delight. We will be back. Maybe even this week if we can get a table. We have to try the rest of the menu!”
