I have stayed here and also had dinner and drinks recently. Stayed here a year ago and had dinner and drinks last week. The rooms walls are paper thin, and I could hear the lady beside us snoring all night haha but the rooms are nice. The dinner was fantastic but the cocktail menu looks great but the staff are not trained to make them. I was talking with some family members and we had wondered why the staff just had no training to serve the drinks. This is why the review rating is low because the owners could do a better job at making sure the staff are educated on what they want to offer vs throwing mud against a wall and hoping it sticks.
Thank you for your reply to my review, I guess your view of my rating is negative but I explained myself in detail to give YOU what I experienced, and to take that and do as you please, but hearing only open on weekends gives you 5 days to train your staff. No need to be negative to me, you’re a service so a fair review shouldn’t be considered toxic. People who read your reply would consider you to be upset/toxic for no reason. Online reviews are good for businesses to understand what customers experienced.
What a great value. Freshly renovated top to bottom. Rooms and fresh, clean and functional. Dining area is very cozy. Light breakfast is included with your stay. Close to beach and downtown. Worth a drive to stay here for a get-away.
We stayed stayed for 2 nights but were disappointed in our stay overall.
Pros: The location is great, a quick walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops.
The hotel is designed beautifully and the rooms are nice.
The manager was really kind and helpful.
Cons: the room is a bit small (We stayed in the king size).
The breakfast is pretty basic other than having local pastries. Though the coffee was really good.
The big disappointment was that the amenities (lounge and fire area) close at 9pm. There wasn’t a fire either night that we stayed there as the sun didn’t see till 8 and they didn’t want to start it cause they closed at 9. There was also no appetizers available or cocktails to order. Only a limited amount of wine or beer. Disappointing as part of paying a higher price point for a hotel, you want to enjoy the amenities. For this reason, I probably wouldn’t stay again.
You spend the day at the beach and want to go back to the hotel to relax but there’s nothing to do as it closes so early.
For the price & the fact that you can’t enjoy the hotel in the evening, I wouldn’t stay again.
Way overpriced. Parking was very tight made for smaller vehicles otherwise you can park on the street. Room was clean. Nice showers. Upstairs patio closes at 9. There is no restaurant but there are some within walking distance. Continent breakfast with some homemade jams for toast and bagels. There is no staff after 10pm until the next morning at 8 or 9.
Exquisitely designed rooms in a beautiful minimalist Scandi style. The motel is steps from the beach and all local restaurants and shops. I loved staying here and would return, but I think the owners could have been more present in establishing a service standard for their new business. Not all staff were familiar with the advertised offerings, so further training is warranted. I would also like to see the fire pits & lounge areas open after 9pm, especially in the summer months when people come home late from the beach & dinner and just want to socialize for a bit in a place other than their own room, especially when paying the price to stay here. All of that said, the place is still beautiful!
