“Wow! I was completely blown away by the beautiful in-house scratch food with elegant tastes and delicate plating. I can honestly say that I have dined all over Ontario and this is really close to the best hidden gem in Ontario. The Berkshire offers a comfortable ambiance with food that absolutely knocked my socks off. The braised pork shoulder with a delicate apple cabbage slaw, and spetzle on the side was soooo yummy. The pork shoulder was melt in your mouth, and I couldn't get enough ... until ... I heard that homemade sticky toffee pudding with home churned vanilla ice cream, were on the menu. So yes, I indulged! And, it was gorgeous caramel delish! Oh wait, let me not forget about the Caesar Salad, with its bold punch of gaaaaarlic! I loved it. “I have stayed here and also had dinner and drinks recently. Stayed here a year ago and had dinner and drinks last week. The rooms walls are paper thin, and I could hear the lady beside us snoring all night haha but the rooms are nice. The dinner was fantastic but the cocktail menu looks great but the staff are not trained to make them. I was talking with some family members and we had wondered why the staff just had no training to serve the drinks. This is why the review rating is low because the owners could do a better job at making sure the staff are educated on what they want to offer vs throwing mud against a wall and hoping it sticks. Thank you for your reply to my review, I guess your view of my rating is negative but I explained myself in detail to give YOU what I experienced, and to take that and do as you please, but hearing only open on weekends gives you 5 days to train your staff. No need to be negative to me, you’re a service so a fair review shouldn’t be considered toxic. People who read your reply would consider you to be upset/toxic for no reason. Online reviews are good for businesses to understand what customers experienced.”

“Awesome first visit to Three Sheets at their brewery and taproom at the north end of Port Elgin. They have lots of indoor space, but this perfect sunny Sunday afternoon was obviously meant for enjoying their patio! Dog-friendly, and with a variety of seating arrangements, the patio is the place to be. Of course, the beer is the reason for visiting. Had Road Closure, their red ale which was very delicious and refreshing. About a dozen different beers to try from 3 Sheets, and for those you who love cider, Thornbury cider was available. Had a great time! Highly recommended!”

“Best Chinese food in Port Elgin, blows Tang's kitchen out of the water. Great prices, a combo for 1 is 10$ and enough food to serve 2 people, often with leftovers! I recommend their combo for 1 with the seasme chicken. The lemon chicken or beef and broccoli are also great! Usually really quick service between 10-15 minutes. I recommend calling ahead to place your order so it is ready when you get there.”

“We decided to have lunch there the other day. I ordered a chicken burger with fries. I was delighted to be given real slices of chicken breast on a bun. Lunch was fantastic. Service was good. Coffee could’ve been fresher. It’d been sitting on the warmer a bit too long and was bitter as a result. We’ll definitely return.”

“Everyone raving about fries seems like personal preference. I would say these fries average at best. You can make better home fries at home or buy some Cavendish fries and they would be better. The milkshakes are good. I would say slightly better than McDonald's, but at least it's a decent serving size. This place is overall average, but would definitely order after going to the beach. It is the only option after all. However great staff, patient and good service during this pandemic. Extra stars there since it's so rare these days. All their ice cream is Chapman's premium. Is that good or bad? That's up to you to decide.”
