“This marina advertises it’s accommodations as ‘simple room & cabins’. We stayed in the Lodge, a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom location with a full kitchen and sitting room. The Lodge is clean, quite adequate and located in an accessible spot. The kitchen and living room are incredibly comfortable thanks to an air conditioning unit. We would stay here again for any stay shorter than 7 nights (the area’s general minimum in the on season). However, the three bedrooms were stifling upon our entry, and were still quite warm at bedtime [10 PM] because of a lack of air-conditioning being able to reach the rooms. Leaving the windows open lead to cooler rooms later in the evening, but falling asleep for my two kids was still a challenge even after a day at the beach. The single ceiling fan located in the living room did not quite do the job, and a ceiling fan in every bedroom would be an economical solution to this problem. The usage of the boats included in the price is a definite plus, as is the marina’s location between the main beach and the falls. The one thing missing from this trip was hospitality. No one seemed to care about whether we slept well, enjoyed our stay, or knew anything about the area. A little caring in both conversation and amenities would be beneficial to this location.”

“I contacted Jessica as my family and I decided to take a last-minute vacation and she had a last-minute cancellation. We spent 3 days and we had a great time. The staff worked very hard to keep the property clean and well maintained. They were very accommodating and had excellent customer service. The pool was great! The hotel is so close to the beach and only a short walk from downtown. Overall it was an extremely enjoyable family vacation. I highly recommend this hotel!”

“Absolutely wonderful stay, despite uncooperative weather! Owners are incredibly helpful & friendly, having gone above and beyond for us more than once during our stay. The room was exceptionally clean, and the grounds are well-kept, and the compound is ideally situated, it is a simply a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. On our way back home now, and couldn’t wait to review, it was that positive an experience. Highly recommended!!”

“It was my first time staying at Lakeview Motel. We stayed there for 2 nights. The room was newly renovated with a brand new bathtub sink and floors. Everything was very clean and well kept. They had a big fridge as well as a microwave. They also had a beautiful pool and fire pit perfect for a small gathering. In the backyard, they also had 4 barbecues ready to go which was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this motel. We will definitely be coming back next year!”

“Such a lovely, family oriented place, the owners do a great job of keeping everything nice and tidy. The office has weird hours but it's totally understandable considering it's just a couple running the place and you can always get help if you really need it anyway. The Covid protocols, extra sanitation and overall friendly nature of the owners makes it feel like they really care about their customers. Us and other groups played music at a reasonable volume right up until 11pm without any complaints and after that quiet hour kicks in, making for a dark, peaceful night. Clean bathrooms and coin-operated showers, nice pool, open grass space and a sand volleyball court. Close to Sauble Beach but far enough that it was quiet. Lots of bugs (mosquitoes, spiders, bees/wasps, etc.) but it's beside a river so that's expected. Water from the taps is a bit smelly but again, not unexpected and completely fine. Great prices for camping, average prices for firewood (huge pieces though so that's really nice), and ice. There is a non-refundable deposit but they were absolute amazing about allowing us to reschedule our reservation. Overall it was a great experience, we will definitely go back again if we want to camp at Sauble Beach . A huge thanks to the owners!”

The pool and facilities were great, kids had a blast and made some new friends. The only downside is we wish we would have booked a longer stay! Definitely worth staying here! “Carson's Camp is a fantastic place to stay if your plan is to explore the Sauble Beach area for a few days and you like worry-free camping. The site is organized as a subdivision and it's very... urban in how it's laid out. That means paved roads and level driveways for your camper. It offers full hookups so you can come back from the beach with the family and enjoy a shower in your camper without worrying about your tanks. The staff is very friendly and keeps the site very clean and tidy. I noticed that the bathroom was always freshly cleaned every morning. We will definitely come back.”
