“Our party of 4 had a fantastic late June stay at Sunset Point in Minaki (Trailhead and Boathouse cabins). Alan and Margaret are super friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable, from booking the suites, to orienting us to the fishing spots, to picking us up and dropping us off at the landing during arrival and departure times. On our arrival evening, Alan took us for a tour of the local waters, which certainly helped put us "on the fish" and helped us avoid reefs and other troubles on the water! We fished for 2 full days and caught our limit of walleye each day, well before lunch! We even netted a 54" Muskie (right near the lodge)... quite by accident. But it makes for a great story. With the excellent fishing, great hospitality, and comfortable/quiet cabins, we look forward to returning to Sunset Point Minaki in the future. Thanks again for a great experience and memories!”

“We just left the Orange Bicycle Cottage, I wish we had a few more days. So relaxing, there and so many places to see nearby. We really enjoyed all of it. The cottage had everything you could ask for. Great coffee machine including coffee and all the beds were so comfortable I slept better than at home. We didn’t have to buy or bring anything, every detail was taken care of. So comfortable, roomy and we loved the style. The property and surrounding area were so much fun to explore. Everything was close by. The parks, water, stores and boat tours couldn’t have worked out better. The people were friendly and our hosts Neda and Nick were awesome. They made us feel like we were old friends. Perfect vacation property and area. Lots of pics and memories!”

“Decent area, fairly spacious overnight site. Friendly workers. Washroom facilities for the overnight area are still under construction, so you have to walk up to the shop. Would have been a great stay if we had been warned about the horrifying Tick problem. We have spent years living and travelling through Ontario and Yellowknife and never have we faced what can only be described as a severe infestation of Ticks the way we have after one night here. Our dogs are completely covered with them and we've already removed hundreds. If you plan to stay here, make sure your pups have tick treatments ready, and stay off the grass.”

“Stayed here with some friends and had a great experience. The lady who runs this location is so friendly, super helpful and always available. The park office is packed with things you may need for your stay (sunscreen, batteries, water jug, ice, firewood, etc). We are within walking distance to the beach, to flush toilets, drinkable water and the park office. Was a very quiet area, even with every spot filled, no one made excessive noise. Plots are also a really good size. Only downside is how far the campground is from the closest town- about a 45min drive.”

“My first visit to Ash Rapids was over 40 years ago. Pardon the pun but I’ve been hooked ever since. I now try to visit every year. Tannis, and Andrew have a wonderful piece of fishing paradise. “Just spent 4 wonderful days here. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely done. Lovely areas for sitting outside on 3 different decks. The view of the chi-cheemaun coming in and out is great as well as other boat tours. Lovely sunsets as well. Close enough to town you can walk but quieter than in town. I would definitely recommend this quaint little motel. Very clean. Thanks This is not the motels fault…..My only issue was out of the 4 nights 3 were interrupted with noisy people in the room next door. 2 nights were one set of customers, 1 night was a different bunch. There should be someone to contact when there’s an issue. I did send a text to a cell number that was on my email confirmation but didn’t get a reply.”

“Absolutely love visiting Tobermory and surrounding area. harmony acres is in the right location. The staff are awesome, helping us upgrade our campsite and checking in on us to make sure our visit was excellent. I loved seeing the changes to the campgrounds and the area in the last 5 years. I am hoping to make this a yearly camp trip now and will defiantly be booking again with Harmony Acres in the future.”

“Wow!!!! What an incredible way to end our summer. We stayed at the Cedar Cottage, which is one of the 3 cottages. Our stay was comfortable, the scenery breathtaking and we were in awe at every sunrise and sunset. They are just beautiful!!!! The hot tub at night was a delight! This place has a peace and quiet about it. Thanks to our host Vidhi, she delivers what she says and is true to her word. This place gets booked incredibly fast. Do not be disappointed , book now for next summer.”

“I love this place! I’ve been coming here for over 25 years! For a dive weekend, this is the perfect spot for a large group. The large kitchen, seating areas and deck spaces are perfect!! “Ignore the messy bed, took this on our way out😅 Good hotel. The price is decent, the space is decent, the service is good and the proximity to most things in Ottawa is okay. It’s a good hotel. Not fancy by any means, and not bad in any way significant. The breakfast that is included is good for a small hotel and actually has enough options to get you on the road through to lunch. I would definitely book it. The room was clean, the hallway was clean, the bathroom was clean, super accommodating (we had requested a very early check-in which they accommodated). The towels had a vinegary smell to them but it turned out to be just mine in our entire party so ask for new ones lol. Yeah, and we got our deposit back. So yeah, good hotel.”

“Honestly there is a whole lot of complainers in this review section. Tobermory Inn & Suites was very upfront about the ongoing construction. It was not intrusive during my stay. They even sent an additional email after booking to make sure you were aware prior to arrival. The location is pretty nice and the balcony view of the water is great. The accommodations in the room are minimal. There is a AC wall unit, TV, microwave, and fridge (no freezer). Definitely a mildew smell in the bathrooms and the cleaning of the sink area could have been more thorough. Despite this, I honestly have no major complaints. Tobermory is a tourist town and this was one of the cheapest lodging options we could find. Don’t expect luxury if you aren’t paying luxury prices. Rent one of the $1000 per day houses on the water if you want to be a complainer.”

“We needed a mini getaway before the kids started school again....came across this gem of a place. What a friendly owner, rooms were clean and cozy and perfect for the 5 of us. Kids really enjoyed the heated pool and our walk along the lake the next morning. Beautiful little town. Had some good snowfall. Already planning our return visit one weekend. We really enjoyed our stay”
