“A great place for a quiet walk to reconnect with nature. To find a place for quiet to think. So there are 2 boardwalks one this year is under construction so currently u can only go on the one. Where u will see different flowers and birds if u visit at different times of the year. At the end of the boardwalk in the trees there is a almost 1 km trail that brings you to Adelaide st where u get a great view of the water. To your left u can see Red Bay beach.”

“I recently had the pleasure of spending 7 nights camping at Trillium Wood Campground, and let me tell you, it was an experience beyond comparison! This was my first time camping in the Bruce Peninsula Area, and I must say, I couldn't have chosen a better spot. Upon discovering Trillium Wood Campground through Google reviews, I was amazed by the sheer number of positive comments, but I was yet to witness its magic firsthand. Well, it didn't disappoint! Every single rave review turned out to be true, and then some. The owner, Robin, deserves a special shout-out for his exceptional hospitality and helpful nature. My electric cooler decided to give up on me shortly after I left Toronto, but Robin came to my rescue with unwavering patience and determination to fix it. Although we couldn't get it to work, he went above and beyond by offering me the use of his own freezer. Thanks to his kindness, all my perishables survived the trip intact, and I couldn't be more grateful. The campground itself is a serene paradise, meticulously maintained, and wrapped in a cloak of tranquility. Being right on the shore of a beautiful lake with a sandy beach added a touch of luxury to the camping experience. The bathroom facilities were spotless and spacious, which was an added comfort. Furthermore, its strategic location near Sauble Beach and other scenic places made it an ideal base to explore the area's natural wonders. I can't recommend Trillium Wood Campground enough to all the fellow nature lovers and adventurers out there. If you seek an unforgettable camping getaway, look no further! I'm already counting down the days until I can return to this hidden gem.”

“Rented a tent site and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was amazing and helpful. If you're staying on Bruce this is the place to go!. Also, the showers work just fine if you follow the instructions!”

“Thank you Jodi for your hospitality, the cottage we had (#2) was very clean and comfortable with its air conditioning. The place is quiet, the pool is warm. The campsite is only 15 minutes from Sauble Beach and 1 hour from Tobermory.”

“Loved it! We visited with our elderly dog as she loves forests but can't manage long walks. We stayed for about 40 minutes and it was perfect. Our favourite part was the "sound trail". Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming”

“Peninsula Acres is a little slice of heaven! Our children were delighted by the friendly farm animals and the maple syrup and honey were amazing! The absolute best thing we’ve gotten from them would have to be their garlic! We would drive the 4 hours just to restock!”

“Our favourite trail in the area! It's well canopied with trees and there's a breeze from the lake so it's a great summer walk. Medium difficulty due to the rocky terrain and poison ivy but you can definitely cater it to your own needs. Highly recommend taking the spiral staircase route”

“It may not have the tall Algonquin trees surrounding it, but it's a fantastic place to camp with family and friends. The washrooms are clean, and the waterfront view is really nice especially during sunrise and sunset with a campfire. Keep in mind that sites are not very private, so I'd suggest to accommodate to that by setting up cars and tents accordingly. There is also a trail that wraps around the shoreline that people take early in the morning and throughout the day; our tent has privacy, and we set up our cars and tent to accommodate to the path and it was just fine. The staff are extremely friendly, and their park wardens are really cool people to even have a quick chat with. There's a nice hiking trail, as well as quite a few small spots to fish. The water is clear so I'd suggest using fluorocarbon line or some sort of leader for anything other than topwater. We didn't get to bring a kayak the last time we were here but it's definitely coming on the next trip. Water is usually super calm, also very clean, and it seems like a great place to get the boat out. All in all, it's a very under-rated campground, and having visited over 10 provincial parks by now, this campground is still one that I'm happy coming back to visit. Hope it stays around for years to come so I can take my future children as well.”

“My family had such a wonderful time here! The water was shallow enough for the little ones but you could swim out to the deep! Beautiful scenery and a sweet old school merry go round at the park!!! Worth the trip and I look forward to going back!!”

“Nice beach, Saturday night there's a free ride on an old fire truck that the kids loved. Sites are fairly private and lots of bathrooms and showers.”

“We stayed for 4 nights over thanksgiving weekend (my mom, myself and my toddler) There was no one in the office all weekend although the owner was available by phone. She was friendly when she drove by our site It is a very nice location close to the Bruce trail and just across the road is a small beach and beautiful view The only amenities available when we were there were the showers, laundry and outdoor seating area by the office. The showers were full of cobwebs and the floor was quite dirty, it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The automatic lights in the bathroom kept going out during my shower lol We had a full service site. The campground was quiet other than a tractor moving around some stuff that kept driving past our site”

“Excellent Mountain Biking trail. Lots of signs and clearly marked trails. The Bike Buster trail is currently closed, but the others made for a fun ride! I've riden in the Hardwood Ski and Bike Epic 8 Hour Mountain Bike Race, and these trails were comparable. The trails are fairly flat with Ontario technical rock gardens, roots, and tight corners. Red is very hard, I had to walk some sections. Yellow is hard but managable. Green is medium, with lots of tricky sections and easier riding between them. White is easy and fun.”

“Nice quiet campground. Amenities are limited but if your looking for a quiet place that is close to the beach it’s a great place to camp.”

“Had such a great time here last summer with my ex girlfriend. We really liked our cottage and it was in driving distance of all the stuff we wanted to go to (including Sable beach). The owners were nice let us do our thing. It was a great time.”

“This was my first time going here. I really enjoyed discovering the variety of demographics dispersed within the park. Very solid community feel while camping, but enough privacy to keep to your own camp. The amenities and activities were plentiful, enjoyable, and we'll maintained. Also, the location is solid where it is close enough to Sauble Beach with a quick 5 minute drive. The only negatives were the toilet paper quality, and minor sporadic temperature changes while in the shower. Other than that, great experience!”

“A great place for snowshoeing, only issue was a snowmobile had gone on the trail and wrecked the path.”

“No longer a camp ground it's now a trailer park . Friendly owners and great neighbors in the park. We're friends with all of our close neighbors. Perfect spot if you like to atv. The trails are literally across the street just down the road before the sauble falls there's a side road that leads to all the main trails. Lots of people in the park have atvs, most ride in groups which is a great time.”

“Beautiful campground. The falls are within walking distance and a short car ride to sauble beach. I went in June during bug season and barely felt any. Perks of camping off larger lakes.”

“This past week was our second time to Woodlands. This is a great family park! Perfect for any age. My 3.5 year old loves the parks, and the beach is a 10 minute walk. The park is kept up so nicely, and other campers have been so friendly. We have booked for 4 weeks next year.”

“Such a lovely, family oriented place, the owners do a great job of keeping everything nice and tidy. The office has weird hours but it's totally understandable considering it's just a couple running the place and you can always get help if you really need it anyway. The Covid protocols, extra sanitation and overall friendly nature of the owners makes it feel like they really care about their customers. Us and other groups played music at a reasonable volume right up until 11pm without any complaints and after that quiet hour kicks in, making for a dark, peaceful night. Clean bathrooms and coin-operated showers, nice pool, open grass space and a sand volleyball court. Close to Sauble Beach but far enough that it was quiet. Lots of bugs (mosquitoes, spiders, bees/wasps, etc.) but it's beside a river so that's expected. Water from the taps is a bit smelly but again, not unexpected and completely fine. Great prices for camping, average prices for firewood (huge pieces though so that's really nice), and ice. There is a non-refundable deposit but they were absolute amazing about allowing us to reschedule our reservation. Overall it was a great experience, we will definitely go back again if we want to camp at Sauble Beach . A huge thanks to the owners!”

“I've been there 3, 4 times. Prefer it to others in that area. No need to reserve. Found it nice. As everyone knows if you want warm water to shower be the 1st to shower in the morning. All 6 of my family members 1st ones in and out in the morning . No complaints. Everyone friendly. When I was at another campround clld (***P**) I'd have to put my drinks in my tent with me or they would steal everything. And that other campground has more stars than this one. Should be the other way around.”

“The best place! Our family stayed here for the weekend and the staff were exceptional to deal with. Very pleasant and accommodating! The pool and facilities were great, kids had a blast and made some new friends. The only downside is we wish we would have booked a longer stay! Definitely worth staying here! We can’t wait to come back again!”

“Carson's Camp is a fantastic place to stay if your plan is to explore the Sauble Beach area for a few days and you like worry-free camping. The site is organized as a subdivision and it's very... urban in how it's laid out. That means paved roads and level driveways for your camper. It offers full hookups so you can come back from the beach with the family and enjoy a shower in your camper without worrying about your tanks. The staff is very friendly and keeps the site very clean and tidy. I noticed that the bathroom was always freshly cleaned every morning. We will definitely come back.”

“Chesley camp is a beautiful place to be. Their New facility is beautiful and we enjoyed lunch there. Staff are always friendly, and the park has a nice family feel to it. My only regret is that we don’t spend more time here during the summer.”
