Great spot to feed the birds and wander the woods or meadow. Usually not too busy which is great.

I visit regularly and I'm always happy with my time there. There isn't a lot of wildlife, it's too small for that, but it's a pleasant walk at any time of the year.

Quiet nature reserve on the edge of lake Ontario, different types of habitat great for birding. Scrub field, old growth forest and marsh, popular stop for birds and butterflies crossing lake Ontario. Originally slated for development the area was saved by the residents along the lake road, and supported by the community to keep this important area for nature.
Connects to the lake Ontario trail, free parking, and wonderful to enjoy

One of the few places around here to find old growth trees. It makes for a nice walk in all seasons.

Wild Pink orchids, bright red wild berries, wind whistling through long untamed grass mixed with white, yellow and purple flowers and pine trees. The sound of waves crashing against sandy cliffs. Falcons and ravens circling high up in the sky. All these elements compose the South-side of the paved hiking trail, and make for a remarkably beautiful trail that is ideal for walking, cycling, rollerblading, and running.

On the North side near the beginning, in addition to all of the previously mentioned elements, there is an industrial complex at a distance that is fenced off. There is also a beautiful hill.

Quick Tip: if you decide to Trail off from the main paved trail to reach the shoreline, its best to wear a long sleeved shirt, pants, and shoes. The side-trails are beautiful but crowded with dense and bushy vegetation.

Quick Tip: this trail finds all of its character on a windy, grey, and cold day of September.
