Amazing place with amazing staff.
So much more than olive oil, chech them out!!
The perfume in this store is wonderful, I mean absolutely delicious. Some of them will leave your skin feeling a bit oily and the others have a hint of an acid smell like vinegar, but they are completely edible and you can even eat them.
They come in such a variety of flavours and colours and they have gift packs and handy dispenser tips for the bottles.
Pricing is good for perfume products but if you are just eating these it's a quality price point for a quality product.
This store has a wonderful and wide selection of artisan oils and vinegars. The price point is high, but you get an excellent product with good customer service.
The space is clean and well laid out. The experience is to try before you buy using the provided tasting cups and sample bottles. Every product is available to try.
From citrus to herbal oils and chocolate dark balsamic to traditional white vinegars, everything tastes great and is well described on the product cards.
The people who work there are able to help you find oils and vinegars based on your preferences and offer pairings (some that you would never think would work, but do) to help you expand your horizons.
Most of the oils are salad oils but they do have a few cooking oils and non-olive derived oils. The vinegars cover an incredible range; some even pair well with ice cream!
Personal favourite vinegars include Raspberry, Maple, and Blackberry. Personal favourite oils include Persian Lime and Blood Orange. Pairing Blood Orange and Maple or Raspberry creates an irresistible salad dressing. Adding Persian Lime olive oil as an emulsion in guacamole is a great way to add lime flavours.
When they switched from synthetic corks to natural corks for their large bottles, we had issues with the corks drying and snapping off of the lids. This made a corkscrew the only way to get into the bottles. This resulted in resealing the bottles difficult or impossible.
When I brought this issue to the attention of the store owner, she immediately informed me that the issue had since been resolved (they switched back to synthetic) and gave us new reusable (and dishwasher safe) caps for our existing and future bottles. This is excellent customer service and ensures that we will keep buying their products with confidence.
This place is a must-visit store whenever we visit from Toronto.
Friendly, personable, and enthusiastic staff greeted me and guided me through the different types of oils. She helped me find what I was looking. I'm definitely going to return to this shop.
