Had to pick up an parcel for an item that I ordered on line. The store was clean, well stocked shelves and the staff was very friendly. Plus they showed their support for the LGBTQ community.
Picking up wish, greeted right away, in and out in 3 minutes
Always find lots of good movies and they always have surprise deals when I get to the counter.
They're still one of the few places where you can trade in used games; however they could be more transparent when it comes to their store policy. I purchased some controllers for a single use party that I was hosting. I told the cashier that this was a one time thing and that I may not actually need so many controllers. I asked if it was possible to return any unused items to which she told me I'd have 13 days to return items. Okay, I only used 2 of the four controller, so I returned before 13 days to return the two unopened, unused controllers. I was then told that they won't accept the return because their new policy only accepts returns of defective items. Well, this was oddly convenient for them because nothing of the sort was explained to me when I clearly asked at the time of purchase. I honestly would not have mind the loss if it was clearly communicated to me from the start and I wasn't mislead. For the time being, I'll probably try the other locations or just shop online. They offered to buy back the items for like 10% of what I paid for which is kind of silly. Most businesses have a 20% restocking fee which is understandable but only returning 10% of the cost is kind of odd in my eyes. I feel kind of petty complaining about this but I hope management sees this and will learn to better train staff when it comes to this or have some posters clearly stating store policy.
They have a good selection, but you would expect it to be better since they are virtually the only place still going hard at the used physical media. The prices are out of touch with the reality of a streaming world. Lower prices and I would buy more than 1 or 2 items a year despite fairly frequent visits.
Also, with digitization being so dead easy as scanning the barcode on a movie, it's completely unacceptable that they have no idea what their stock is. I own more movies than they have in stock and my collection is on my phone...
