“Good resort, wide hill. Average speed for me is about 40km/h 1-3 minutes to reach the bottom and a 5 minute average chair lift to the top. Night skiing in December and January is always icy Icy enough that without a sharp blade you will slide and hit yourself agenst the hill. Day Skiing is normally softer. Artificial Snow is normally running all the time. If this hill ever gets any pow/powder it would be skied out and groomed before the lifts even open. The resort and service beside the mountain are very enjoyable and welcoming to guests and locals. Highly recommended.”

“This is great spot for a picnic. Nice park with tables, port-a-loo on site, and the shale beach makes finding fossils easy to do (appreciated the interpretive display). When not choppy it's also a great place for a paddle/swim. The water is warm (well warming compared to other Georgian Bay beaches) and there are some rocks to play on. Advisable to bring water shoes.”

“Such a great hiking trail! This can be challenging and a great workout. Runs alongside a small river the entire way and ends up at the top of the mountain for terrific views. I would recommend going up the “straight up” trail and coming down this one. We did the reverse order and it made for a very difficult hike.”

“Great site, probably the best night we could have had weather-wise, water level was really high and no beach to speak of, but it was still beautiful. Dog beach was actually one of the nicest areas. Amazing to sleep with the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline. Camp store has a good variety of sundry items you may need if you forget something, and staff were very friendly. Staff are also great at being out and patrolling the campgrounds constantly. Washrooms were clean. Would definitely recommend, although be warned there are only a few really amazing sites. Limited number of private / shady sites, and most of the west end sites of the park have absolutely no shade or privacy. Can't wait to go back!! ❤️”

Northwinds Beach

“If you're looking for a place to see the fine line between lake and sky during sunset, then I recommend this place. I so love the rocks where you can step on it, although it's a bit slippery, so be careful. Also, you can't really see the sunset here but you can have a glimpse of it as it disappear from behind the trees. As for the water, it is really clear and cold. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely go back.”
