A great hike from Felkers falls to Glovers falls to lower and upper punch bowl falls. You need icers to do this hike and poles are advisable. It's around 11km round trip along the Bruce Trail.
Great trails. And to get to the punch bowl it's extremely challenging.. you can walk up the mountain using an abandoned road access that was closed in the 60s just beside (west) of the bowl
Love this place
Honestly f-wording astounding. Nature in its prime showcased in an unexpected plot of onterrible. Beautiful trails, well maintained and only a small trace of human garbage. Note to humans : stop being garbage.
The lower falls is directly below the main lookout platform in the park. Getting there is a rather tough hike, there are two ways to get there. The first being the blue blaze Bruce Trail side trail going down the mountain to the main trail then following the tracks back to the valley. The other way is an unmarked trail just to the right of the platform, this trail is dangerous on a good day as it rides the very edge of the ridge all the way down. Either way you go the reward is pretty good, especially if u hike the trail up past the lower falls and into the deep gorge of the main falls. Spectacular views from the bottom. If you can make the hike in winter you will witness the ice volcano that builds up at the bottom under the falls. Bring your camera.
