Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park is a great place to sit and enjoy a perfect view of Lake Huron. Nice benches and picnic tables for you to sit at, many large trees offer great shade.

A great view for watching the sunset. Free music and activities are common on summer weekends. Well maintained with parking on both the north and south ends of the park. No playground equipment though there is a volleyball/badminton net in a separate area on the east side of the park. Very well built stairs lead down to the beach. Recent erosion means there is very little beach at the bottom.

Best public park to view the lake. Small beach below. Fantastic sunsets.

Most beautiful, very scenic and very clean. Lots of people there, but very curtious. Lots of parking too. The only thing there is no washroom. One has to walk back to the public washroom next to the Post Office. Beautiful little place. We had the local ice cream which was really good. The lineup was crazy but the staff was very fast and efficient. Would love to go there again.
