Maitland Woods

Centrally located in Goderich so not far to drive. Signs by trees to identify them. A short hike but path is clear. Take some seeds to feed the chickadees.

This was an awesome trail to walk on. I did notice some of the bridges were replaced, but there are still more that need to be fixed up. It looks like they are still working in this, because I saw some new bridge sections piled up on the side of the trail. Some additional markings at the trail junctions would be nice. Some of the junctions were missing the markers to show which one was the white trail and which one was the blue trail. Overall this is a very nice trail and would walk it again.

Trail was well marked, and there was a map at 3 entry points. Very nice stroll through a dense bush.

It was very nice walk. Enjoyed it very much as well as the small animals that are in there. Went back almost every day while we were here.

Well tonight there was a fire..which happened to also be where the blue tent was set up. Fire trucks arrived ? ? to put out a crackling fire and stream of smoke coming from the woods.
