“I have a thing for great candles, and although there are many candle companies out there I am always on the lookout for something new. I am VERY picky about scents, the throw, the wax used, design and burn time. My standards are very high. While shopping in Bayfield I saw a little sign on the sidewalk pointing down the street advertising an Artisan Market. Well, I had to check it out! I love Bayfield, but I am a little tired of the clothing stores that seem to be everywhere. The town of Bayfield is beautiful, something out of the movies so if you have never been, make the trip it is very worth the drive. Anyways back to these candles... The shop houses beautiful paintings and really well done wood signs, there are also unique rustic pillows and of course candles. Now you get your typical foodie scents, nice florals and some new scents in many different sizes, they are all nice but I'm out of that stage and want something different. Then I came across the Essential Oil blends and ohhhh my Geerrrrddddd they are beautiful!!! I picked one called Peace, it has Patchouli, Olibanum, Pimento, Citronella and Grapefruit EO. Individually these oils are 'Meh' and honestly I can't stand the smell of Citronella but together these are flipping beautiful. If you love walking into an Aveda store and the scent of all their products put together than this is your candle. It smells just like the store. I have been burning this for 2 nights and I haven't even reached the shoulders of the candle yet!! The throw is perfect. The candle is a creamy uncoloured soy wax which just glows. The label is delicate yet modern and well the scent....is dreamy and clean. The blend is perfect, I even rubbed some was on my wrists because I love the scent so much! For those that do not like lighting candles they also have Tart warmers and tarts in all the scents. Prices are right there with every other candle company and yet...these candles are by far of a better Artisan quality than most. I found out from the lovely lady working there that this is a family run business and everything in the store is made from the families hands...well, it couldn't get any sweeter and nicer than that. I am truly impressed with this candle and I will be going back next weekend to pick up every single other EO blend they make...I love it even more now that I know my money is supporting a Canadian family business. Well done and I wish you much success!”
