“A slice of heaven and a scoop of delight. Drove up there from Toronto and worth the drive. Not only do they have an amazing variety of quality ice creams but their pizza is amazing! The pizza has liberal toppings and AMAZING home made dough. Just down the street from a little beach and across from the locks means there is lots of great space to enjoy these delights in a relaxing way. As a bonus, the staff is so friendly and polite. Great customer service.”

“Lots of stairs. Not accessible. Outdoor patio has heaters. Fireplace indoors wasn't on or necessary tonight, but would be lovely as it gets cooler. Exceptional wait staff. Great selections on menu. Moderate prices. Dinner for 7. Loaf of hot bread with choice of butter or oil/balsamic. Large Caesar salad. Mussels were a lovely appetizer. Pork tenderloin was praised but not the blueberry/apple salsa on top. 8 oz sirloin with perfectly cooked veggies, whipped potatoes...perfect. veal scallopini was enjoyed. Vegetable fettuccine was praised. Seafood pasta was very good, including lobster, shrimp, crab and tiny scallops. Not a lot of street parking, but we will be back”

“The wings here are amazing! There's a bit of a spicy coating on them though so be aware of that. Pizza was delicious! Great sauce. I asked for tomatoes on mine and instead of slices the tomatoes were cubed, much more flavour. I highly recommend.”

“Went on a Thursday night as a visitor from out of town. Sat on the patio and had a wonderful experience! We had their full rack of rib special and fish and chips, and both meals were wonderful. White sangria was also a hit. Our server, Lilly, (and all other servers) were also fantastic and personable. A+ service! 10/10 - will return again.”

“First time stopping here. Stopped in on a bike ride up from Lindsay. Cute little shop with a large assortment of amazing looking pies and desserts. Had one of the best pecan butter tarts that I've ever had (and I've sampled a few?). Would certainly return here for treats again.”

“I have been a regular at this small town cafe style restaurant for over twenty years. It's always been great in every way. Reading a couple of bad reviews here i just can't agree with them at all. This is one of the best of the old fashioned Mom and Pop style places. Over time they've dome to know what i like and how i like it and it's nice the way that gives us the well acquainted Howdy do I'm back again kind of friendly, informal feeling that's so nice and welcoming in a small town place. The food is always so good and so quick. Old fashioned style of everything with a home made feel to it. Great home made gravy on the fries etc, Always little extras like a wee salad and hot buns. Large portions of everything. and often supper comes with a free desert of locally made pies and cakes. I have never been a fan of liver and onions but sometimes in the cold old winter the way they do it smothered in home cooked onions and their own sauce is just what the doctor ordered. A family place with the family present in an easy going relaxed quick manner about them. Nice in every way. Places like this are rare nowadays and i love supporting them.”

“Lunch was delicious and our waitress Serena was great. We arrived by boat and unfortunately had a small window for lunch to ensure we got back through the locks to get home before last lockage. Even though she was very busy she let us know what could be made in our time constraint and she accommodated our requests. The view from the the outside patio is beautiful! We'll definitely be back... And give ourselves more time next time to even got a few balls first!”
