The Growling Gator

Had the Aegean Shrimp and it was amazing. Best value for your meal. Shrimps were abundantly portioned and the marinara linguine was perfectly seasoned. They had a wide selection of drinks and the service was attentive and prompt. Would come back again.

Unique location overlooking the beach at Grand Bend. It is a multi level patio / indoor restaurant design, making for a unique and memorable dinning experience. The menu is adequate for this type of establishment, and has something for everyone. The portions are large, and the quality excellent. The prices are fair, and the servers are friendly and efficient.
The desserts are of special note, the apple crisp is phenomenal! A meal in itself.
The chips are also noteworthy, fresh chipped potatoes, perfectly fried.
A great place to go for a meal, or a drink.

The food was pretty tasty and had large portions!
Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity.

The only issue I had was the fact that they set the table with very obviously, dirty cutlery (see attached photo). I get that dishwashers don’t wash things 100%, but the fact that they still used it to set the table is unacceptable.

I chose not to say anything because the staff were very helpful with seating us at the edge of the patio to accommodate our dog.

Other than that, would recommend this place!

Is exactly what you would expect of a casual beach side restaurant. Outdoor seating, comfort good and relatively reasonable prices. Would recommend if you are looking for somewhere to eat while you are visiting the beach! Beware of the flies though, as sitting outside does have its drawbacks.

Good food & even better service. The Bend was packed & lines were long but we got seated quickly. Our waitress never made us feel neglected even though every table was full. Was a perfect ending to our day. Highly recommend
