Those posting poor reviews consisting of nothing but complaints set unrealistic standards for affordable accommodation. As previously said by the owner, the Mazinaw Inn is a motel — not a 5-star hotel. Understand that you get what you pay for. Don't expect hotel-caliber amenities, service, quality, etc from a motel meant to be simply a decent place to sleep - which is precisely what it satisfies. The rooms were as clean as one might expect in any ordinary home, which is perfectly reasonable for a small family-run business; the air conditioner functioned properly, facilities were in working order, staff was friendly, and so on and so forth.

We enjoyed our stay. Yes the place was outdated as well as the rooms but we were happy with the air conditioning as well as the satellite TV and DVD player. We didn't get to visit the restaurant but the bar was empty and we played a round of pool which was fun. I would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting bon echo and needs a place to stay. Country style and Mr sub are conveniently located across the street which we took advantage of for our morning coffee and breakfast.
