This is a family owned business. I've been there several times and decided to write a review because I've always had great experiences there. They've always been very helpful and understanding. Really nice family. I would highly recommend this place.
I went to Cherry Hill Optical shop and this store, it's cheaper here for the same pair of branded name frames. I won't trust cherry hill one they tried to charge extra $50 for eye exam plus $80 if I plan to buy online. I do prefer this store.
Professional and best selection in the city. Charles and his team are second to none.
Exceptional service, knowledge, experience, and always friendly!! Also, Cross Eyed Optical has the most unique models and latest fashion statements. We have been returning to Charles for all optical needs for over 17 years; happy to support this independent local company. Thank you!
I have been buying glasses from Charles and crew for more than the past decade. Prior to this, buying glasses was always a headache because a) it’s hard to see what new frames look like without prescription lenses in them and b) nowhere else I shopped seemed to ever get the fitment right without multiple return visits. Cross-Eyed Optical makes the process painless. They have contemporary measurement equipment that always ensures the glasses fit perfectly the first time. Charles has this magical ability to hone in on the style of glasses you will like and makes very thoughtful recommendations on what to try on. Finally, they have neat photography equipment to allow you to cross compare multiple pairs of glasses while wearing your current pair to actually see what they look like.
I see some comments about pricing. Yes, designer frames and quality lenses are expensive. Maybe you can find the same frames and lesser quality lenses elsewhere for less money. I don’t care. The level of service and quality of workmanship stand alone to the point where I would never consider going anywhere else.
My wife and I returned today (with our two young kids) to each get new glasses. We both had eye exams, selected new frames and kept the kids entertained within 90 minutes. As always, the staff was patient, friendly, generously entertaining towards the kids and the process was easy. Truly a one-stop, family friendly shop.
