“Prices tend to be considerably higher than London or Exeter, but it’s convenient when you only need a few things and don’t want to waste gas driving to a larger community. Sale prices, however, are generally excellent and I prefer to buy all of my meat here as the quality is usually well above other stores. In store bakery makes a good selection of breads, however it can be difficult to find a fresh loaf, which is disappointing. Bread is not baked daily; only after the older loaves have sold, and it remains at full price until the sell by date. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful - they’ll check the back for an item, offer a rain check if it’s not available and are happy to slice your bread for you or carry out large, heavy items. Although it’s a small store, it has a wide selection of items, including specialized meats from local suppliers and fresh produce.”
