(November 21, 2016, 3:52 pm)An iconic landmark for McCrae Lake travelers is the tiny island dubbed Elephant Rock characterized by its high peak of sheer weathered granite crowned by a single tall lonely Pine. Climbing the summit of Elephant Rock is a modest challenge but rewards nimble visitors with a spectacular vista of the McCrae Lake surrounds.
