(July 27, 2020, 1:34 am)Great place to sit and relax. If you’re lucky you can catch a boat travelling through the locks. There is free parking onsite, a few picnic tables, garbage bins and a portable toilet for emergencies.
(July 21, 2020, 3:28 pm)Interesting historic site. The staff member on duty was extremely friendly and taught us a lot about the lock! One of the last manual locks left in Canada. Poor guy has to manually open the valves to control water flow, and then push the doors open. We saw a boat go through which wasn't overly exciting, but still pretty interesting to see how it works!
