“We lucked out with great weather and got to sit up top. We were expecting some info throughout the cruise about the area but not much was given. The music playing was very inappropriate for children and was only turned off when guests asked as there were several children onboard. Covid precautions were to wear masks only inside on the lower level but not needed up top despite not much space between guests. It was somewhat difficult to find the meeting point as there was only a flag labeled “cruise” without a company name from the main road however there is free parking along the street and free parking lots near by.”

“My friend and I had stopped at the side of the road to look at some beautiful dogs. Soon after, we met Brad and Lea, who were out spending some time with the dogs. They were kind enough to talk with us for quite a while, telling us about what it's like to have a dog sled ranch, a bit about the area and it's history, and answer all of the questions we had. It soon became evident that this family is wonderful, kind, and they really know how to take good care of their dogs, and their customers. We even met Leah, Brad's wife, as she arrived back to the ranch, as she stopped to say hello as well. We want to thank them for this lovely time and we look forward to booking our sled rides in the future.”

Such a warm, inviting atmosphere...it's honestly hard to narrow down your choices and leave. A little gem nestled in the woods, surrounded by a wildflower garden that simply must be seen. I go back every time I visit Algonquin park. Totally worth the drive!”

Dorset Lookout Tower

“Worth the drive to Dorset. How often do you get the chance to see miles across cottage country, from a vantage point you've never viewed, or may ever get a chance to view again? You can stay home anytime; you can stroll through country stores hundreds more times; but when you consider that climbing a fire lookout tower is a punctuating moment between more of the same-old-same-old moments, then you'll do yourself the favour of checking it out and making a new memory.”

I always buy dark maple syrup from different places looking for an awesome "thicker" syrup. and I have found it here! Eve and Tom are wonderful people and Tom takes seriously his production of maple syrup. We first bought the $47 bottle of dark and enjoyed it so much we have gone back for more and also bought gift bottles for many family and friends.
