“The food is 10/10, without question, but what really set the Pearl apart for me was the service. The staff are exceptional. We were there with a very very picky 5-year old and they went so above and beyond for him. Which they didn't need to! We certainly didn't ask them to. They saw I was struggling and they helped. And in the end we all got to enjoy a delicious meal, outside in the sunshine, happily. It was wonderful. Could not recommend more.”

“This place is a great stop to and from the cottage! It is open year round so you can have a snack and choose from a dozen flavors of hot chocolate, coffee and ice cream. I've often picked up one of their frozen meals to bring home for dinner. Now that their gift shop area has expanded; endless unique assortment of things to buy. Plan to stop by!”

“Great find in Bala! Looking for a quick meal passing through town and we stumbled upon Taco Kar. We were thrilled!!! The tacos were delicious, as were the beans. It is cash only, but highly recommend. Service was quick and friendly. Outside seating is available.”

“Beautiful scenery. Really nice restaurant. Don't order a hamburger. It was the strangest texture I have ever eaten. It was good but so strange to eat.... it was the consistency of pate without the grit. Either way too much filler or it was purèed meat... or both. My sons felt the same and I heard a few other customers wondering as well. My husband had a fantastic fish entree that he enjoyed greatly. I think they need to expand their menu and make real hamburger hamburgers.”

“5 STARS to this place for excellent food and great customer service. Visited 1st September. The place is neat and clean with old school vibes. They have a pool table. The guy at the front desk was really polite and welcoming. We ordered wings, Chicken on the bun, Jalapeno poppers. The food tasted really good. The wait time for the food was not too long. Restrooms were ok-ok because at some point of time it's the visitor's courtesy too to keep the restrooms clean as visitors threw tissues here and there. I forgot to ask name of the guy working there at that time but he provided excellent customer service and was helpful in answering the questions about places to visit.”

“Fantastic smoked prime rib as their weekend special. Large portions, good service and a surprisingly large and diverse menu for such a small building, luckily there’s a spacious patio. Definitely a great destination for eat in or take out.”
