Olive The Lake Lodge

Absolutely love Olive the lake. We just visited for a week and had a blast. The cottages are Rustic but clean and come with everything you need. Fishing was awesome! Monster bass and walleye. The kids made friends with other families that were visiting as well as the kids that live there and loved swimming, kayaking, tubing, and playing on the floating trampoline and slide. Cara and Dave are super friendly and great hosts. We look forward to going back again!

Great vacation spot for people with kids, lots of water activities. Bring bug spray!

The most perfect cottage getaway! My boyfriend, our dog and I stayed in the 2 person cabin and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Dave and Cara were amazing hosts, they made sure we had everything we needed and were very attentive. The 2 person cabin is very private, great for a couple to get away and enjoy each others company. We were supplied with our own private fire pit, BBQ, and fishing boat which is what put this trip over the top! The fishing was great, we both caught a huge bass. Their screened in patio was a perfect addition, we could enjoy the weather despite the bugs and rain! I recommend checking out the fire tower in the township of Temagami, talk about a view! We will definitely be returning! Thank you Dave & Cara for your amazing hospitality.

Hands down best trip North!
The weather wasn’t very cooperative but we definitely made the best of the week!
So many reasons why I am giving a 5 star review, so I will break it down.
Owner & Family;
Fantastic people! Very welcoming and kind. Super attentive. We feel they went above and beyond to make our stay a good one and every chance that was available Dave was taking the kids tubing! I’ve always wanted to see a Moose and was given the advice on where to best see one, and I did!
Cabins;
We stayed in cabin 5, closest to the water. Cabin was very clean, and had a very homey feel to it. They are rustic - but for us, that’s what we pay for! Everything you could possibly need is already in the cabin. BBQ was provided with full tank and ready to go! Beds are super comfy, definitely better than expected!! Full porch is screened in which was really nice. Bring lots of bug spray to ward off the mosquitoes, but that’s to be expected.
Scenery;
You couldn’t ask for better! Waking up and having coffee on the screened in porch listening to the Loons and looking at the lake was just breathtaking- best way to wake up!
Atmosphere;
Family friendly and very inviting! They have a water slide and a whole bunch of water activities for the kids to do. We have teenagers and never once heard I’m bored! Firewood, Ice and worms for fishing all on site!

Highly recommend this place and the experience to everyone!
