Great camp ground. Good choice of sites but you need to book early. Firepit and table at each site. Washrooms are pretty central with showers and other running water sources. Beach is a close walk and is very sandy and water is shallow for the little ones. Dog leash free area available too on the beach. Lots of local things to do but need a car to get to a lot of them (burger joints, ice cream or restaurants).
I love visiting Long Point. I personally think the best time to enjoy this park is in the spring. Life is budding everywhere, the park is quiet, serene, the beaches seem to go on forever with barely a soul in sight. It is also incredibly beautiful in the fall. Of course if your looking for a summer beach, Long Point has that too. See you this spring Long Point.
One of most beautiful long sandy beach you could find in Ontario. Water are warm and clean. Sand dune and wildlife are amazing. So many activities at and around Long Point Beach area. This place come highly recommended for those with dog as well.
The sand is so soft under your feet it feels like velvet. There are great little spots to get your fox of ice cream and a greasy spoon right on the beach. The water is amazing as well. Every 10 feet the water becomes shallow again. Feel like you can walk forever. Really great for the little ones because they can walk out really far and feel like big kids. The locals are extremely friendly. They often smile at you for no reason. I want to move here!
We love visiting Long Point for both camping and beach days. There's plenty of room and things to do. The dunes going to the beach are a good workout and once you're up and over them you have a huge beach area to enjoy. I've never had a problem finding a decent spot to sit and enjoy.
The facilities are mostly well maintained, parking can be a bit if a challenge depending on what area of the beach you're trying to go to but some patience will help.
