“We just walked near the building this time, getting a little exercise along by the river. It's an excellent building, I a modest way. There's a nice Senate room at the top, with a reception room attached. I've attended several lectures there over the years. Summer graduation ceremonies are often held behind the building. There's a two-storey atrium at the bottom. And a big parking garage right next door.”

“I first started taking classes at OYPTS (now the Ottawa School of Theatre) when I was 11 years old, and I am still involved with the organization well over 2 decades later. I can honestly say that it changed the course of my life. I met many lifelong friends and learned valuable lessons about working as a team. The atmosphere at the Ottawa School of Theatre is one of acceptance, inclusion and positivity. I would highly recommend getting involved!”

“When people are used to building boxes and straight circulation, the "labyrinth" brings so much fun. I study and live in this building, the circulation is what I love the most. It seems to be confusing at first several visits, it takes time to understand its robust beauty. Every space makes sense and you are able to find some inspirations in every room. Its not a traditional beautiful architecture attraction, but design students/professionals will learn from it for sure.”

“Fantastic training academy! Very friendly staff and instructors that are more than willing and genuinely want to help you achieve your goals. They tailor the training to the individual as everyone learns differently. They are the only Commercial Truck Academy that I know of that has a training program for students with learning disabilities and all of their instructors are trained to accomodate students with various learning disabilities. I have experienced other Commercial Truck academies and I can say that Crossroads by far is the best! They have multiple campuses in Ottawa, Smiths Falls, and Renfrew with their instructors rotating through all of them. If you are looking to get your commercial licence or even just do some refreshers for a commercial licence you already hold Crossroads has many different programs available and all are very affordable. If you are already employed by a commercial truck operator but currently don't have a commercial truck licence, your employer is able to write off the training cost if they sponsor your training. If you want to know more about this, you can contact Crossroads and they will give you information and show you and your employer how this system works.”

“I am a recent graduate from Willis College in Ottawa. I took the Addictions and Community Support Worker Program and I must say it was an excellent program. I know that during these times of Covid it is hard for students and faculty alike to try and get a positive experience out of school. But Willis went above and beyond. They had everything set up through Zoom and were able to get us online textbooks. If you needed any help , professors and other faculty were either just a phone call away or they would respond quickly to emails. I found the school to be extremely professional in their delivery of services and school work. The staff were very easy to communicate with and to get along with as well. I do believe that Willis has its students in their hearts and that they strive to make sure that we succeed. As for the course I took , it was easily laid out and easy to navigate online. The program is an excellent choice and out of the Private College that do offer this type of program , the one at Willis, at least in my opinion is the best choice. The reason I say that is that it includes extra courses that are not available in other colleges curriculums. So I believe with the extra content this course better prepares you for the field of Human Studies that a graduate from this program will be working in. If you are looking for a career change like I was then this is an excellent program to take, as well as the other programs that Willis offers. you will be job ready upon graduation and be able to start a new career. I am extremely satisfied with my choice to attend Willis College. You actually have to work hard to achieve success but like anything in life , you get what you put into it. so if you are willing to actually put an effort into your program , then there is no way you can't succeed. I am honoured to have attended Willis and I thank all the faculty for their help in helping me achieve my dreams and goals in a new career. As an adult student who had not been to college in over 15 years the task at first seemed daunting but Willis made it possible and I am forever grateful.”

“I attended college at Algonquin College between 2006 and 2009, and graduated from Travel and Tourism (Travel Salesperson), and Media Communications. I also took a French course. There were lots of highs and lows at this school, but overall I became a better person after my time spent here. This college prepped me for the business world, and it was a huge learning experience. I also got into going to the gym because of their college gym.”
