Portuguese Bakery and Syrian Kitchen

I love this place. Best falafels you can get and the humus is divine. Try a falafel sandwich for just 7 dollars with lots of good pickled and fresh veggies. I always take my own container to take some falafels home. Strongly recommended this place.

I have lived down the street from the Portuguese Bakery for nealry 20 years. I have many fond memories of stopping in for a pineapple Sumol and custard tarts! If you want to feel right at home this is the place. The baked goods are beyond fresh and delicious and everyone who works there is incredibly kind...i mean genuinely kind and that radiates from their hearts into every lovely morsel they create! I recommend the custard tarts and the falafels are out of this world!! Thank you for all your years of deliciousness Portuguese Bakery!!

A hidden gem in Ottawa. The falafel, almond croissants and such are always fresh and amazing. Fresh buns and loafs. It’s a genuine mom and pop style bakery.

Had been meaning to try this place for a while, since I've had some great Portuguese bread and there aren't many Portuguese bakeries around in Ottawa. Picked up some buns, and they were so delicious. It's kind of out of the way, for me at least, but it's definitely worth a try.
