My mom and dad had a prepaid funeral package and they knocked it out of the park. Respectful, empathetic, unbelievably prompt with calls and service. My father passed away in August 2017 and my mother one month after and everything went so smoothly. Patrick and Sharon come out to greet you and make sure that the church service and reception is perfect. Laura helps you with the after care program. Everyone who attended was impressed and love the CD they provide. I will 100% use them for my own. I can't say enough about them! They are true to their package and provide you a cheque with money and interest back.”

Unfortunately, the name of the individual escapes me, who sat down to go over all the details with us. “David was extremely helpful during my time of grief. My Mother’s passing was anticipated, just not as soon as it was, and I did not havetime to make any previous arrangements and was very confused about where and how to begin. I live in Montreal and my Mother resided Iin Ottawa, so logistically it was a bit of a challenge. David was completely available at my convenience and had no problem meeting me on Saturday morning to make the arrangements and then the following Saturday to finalize the paperwork and retrieve her remains. Some how he managed to take me through the whole process with less anxiety than I had anticipated. He was very caring, understanding and patient, and in no way like the technical sales oriented people I had dealt with at the bigger funeral homes. When we loose a loved one, we should not have the added stress and expense of people actually trying to up sell their services or falsely advise you. “My mother's death was expected but it was sudden. She died at home. You're watching a football game on a Saturday night and 10 minutes later your home is filled with EMS personnel. Sudden like that ! My mother had prearranged her funeral with Kelly's on Walkley Rd. so I called them for help. Two attendants arrived an hour later to take Mom into Kelly's care. They were not actual Kelly employees. It was not a good experience. Things were said by the attendants...in house stuff...trade craft tricks...things that should never be voiced out loud in front of someone whose mother is lying dead in her bed. It was unnerving. Kelly's GM was unnerved as well when I told him. He said he'd look after it and I believed him. We went to Kelly's on Christmas Eve to finalize her arrangements. There were some administrative hiccups, more than two actually, but each was dealt with to our intellectual satisfaction...our emotions, however, were still a little tangled and therefore, perhaps, a little less forgiving. What made things easier is that Mom had prearranged and prepaid her funeral. We did not have the added stress of having to make 50 or so decisions, late in the afternoon, on Christmas Eve. The Friday evening visitation went well. Kelly's support staff were kind and gracious. The facilities were top notch and the video display montage comprised of about 50 or so family pictures, put together by our funeral director Angela. was classy and thoughtful...not the work of an amateur. Saturday was the day of her funeral and it was a very emotional day. On the way to Resurrection of Our Lord Church, the cortege slowed to a crawl near Mom's apartment so that I could wave to a neighbour of hers who was unable to attend. That was very, very classy of Angela and the rest of the staff at Kelly's. The funeral cars were spotless and the attending support staff were very professional. I'll never forget that day. Do yourself a favour and prearrange your funeral and, if you have the means, go ahead and prepay it as well. Those who are left behind to look after you when you pass on will be thankful for your consideration.”
