We don't often shop GT. When we entered we weren't sure if the carts had been sanitized ... a fellow shopper showed us where there were hand wipes to use on the carts.
D found what she wanted from an ad and we were on our way. The price is what brought us in to the store. This was the GT on Water St. I think the one on Lansdowne may be larger or just felt more spacious.

I always find good deals. Staff is very friendly

Most staff and customers weren't respecting the 6ft apart social distancing measures at all when I visited today and it wasn't being enforced. And some aisles are much too cramped to allow anyone to keep a safe distance. This was very disturbing and made me not feel as safe shopping here compared to at other stores. At least it was mandatory for staff to wear masks but they still got too close to customers. The cashiers also didn't seem professional or friendly (except for the girl who was training. She was very nice and friendly. Although she seemed like she was left on her own a bit too soon as she was super slow, didn't know how to do much and didn't know the answer to my question about returning clothing during covid). The debit machine also wasn't working right after about 6 attempts to scan my card, so another cashier offered to scan it for me. When I said politely that I preferred to not have anyone else touch my card if possible, it seemed as though she was offended. Thankfully the machine worked finally but it took a good 20 mins for the checkout process. This was my first time at this location but it wasn't a great impression. I did like that the store is large and the parking lot is big though and the selection of clothes was pretty good. Hopefully they enforce stricter social distancing rules in store to make it safer for everyone though. The law passed this weekend that all customers must wear a mask in stores but that wasn't being enforced at all.
