“Such an amazing camp site ! I took my 5 year old son and my fiance and we loved it. New washrooms, great company and lovely staff. The showers are cold unfortunately, but at least there was not one bug in site. I've been going for the past 8 years with a tent and let me tell you, it is so relaxing and quiet. Not much to do AT the spot, but sandbanks beach is just 10 minutes away!”

“We stayed in the Beach House for two nights last week. Mark and Melanie are wonderful hosts. They followed Covid 19 protocol, making us feel very safe throughout our visit. The breakfast each morning was amazing! Fresh ingredients, beautifully presented on dinnerware made by Melanie, a talented Potter. The food was absolutely delicious! The location is perfect! Close to many wineries, craft breweries, restaurants, and the amazing Sandbanks! Thank you for making our getaway perfect!”

“Just want to say thank you for your wonderful hospitality at your B&B. Even when we go away we want the touch of human kindness, the warmth of friendship, the sense of welcome that lasts the for the duration. Well Karen and Jorge, you batted 1000 on those items. But now about the house, the breakfasts, the beds. Amazing. As if we were transported into the Chronicles of Narnia - Wardrobe. Magic roosters everywhere, you just can’t ignore them. So you start looking for them where they are not. And you find another. Breakfasts beyond expectation, and very comfortable beds. We had a really good time, enjoyed meeting you and the respite of sharing your home with us. A delightful 5 star home, with hosts to match. Thank you very much Lorraine & Bob September 22-24, 2020”

They brought us in with open arms. The made the most incredible breakfast I have ever are - it was all fresh local homemade food. Such a special hidden gem. Just 10minutes from town and 10minutes from the beach”

“This traditional B & B is fantastic. Our host, Cindy, was warm an friendly. She prepares an excellent breakfast with plenty to eat and drink. Her rooms are comfortable and cozy. The master bedroom has a sitting area and a private bathroom with shower. She also has all type of toiletries to use. The place and the host are warm and comforting. We well be back!”

“Expensive hotel with a limited set of facilities. Guest should be aware that both of the lodge houses suffer from extensive noise transfer from adjoining units. These units are the only ones as far as I could tell with the suites and king beds. A ‘white noise’ machine is available but ultimately will not hide the noise from vibrations. The hotel is aware of this but are yet to correct (buildings are 12 years old). Possibly worth the nighttime disruption if the rooms are on sale. Breakfast menu limited to a few options; generally good quality although service seemingly suffering from lack of staff (however somewhat expected during current safety measures required).”

“The owner was quick to respond to our last minute request with a cancellation notification. He welcomed us late in the evening with complimentary bottle of local wine and snacks after a long travel. The place is beautiful and very clean. The property is situated in the heart of Prince Edward County and offered a good opportunity to explore. The owner is very personable and breakfast was served timely and was more than expected. He went out of his way on more occassion than we could count to make our stay a memorable one. We could not have asked for a better experience.”

“Just spent an amazing 3 days there. This was our very first camp out ever and we were so glad to choose this campground. The staff was super helpful and super nice. Very quite at night which is perfect considering we went with a 3 year old and a 9 yr old. Playgrounds were beautiful and close by and the beach was breathtaking with lots of shallow walkout again perfect for small kids!! All the other campers were super friendly too. The washrooms and showers were surprisingly clean (I honestly wasn't expecting them to look so nice) and close by too. I am definitely recommending this campground to everyone with kids. We are definitely going back. My only complaint is that we didn't book long enough!! Lol”

“Great place for family camping. Clean park in a great area. Very short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park. Lots to do. Update: camped here recently. Still a great place. Check in was excellent. Beach area is good. Pool is fun. Only complaint would be the speed people drive in the park.”

“My family and I we visit this retreat twice a year. Wonderful air, phenomenal energy! When we return from the cottage my husband - who is a cancer survivor - forgets about his headaches for 5-6 months. I first noticed that this place is special when my dog got sick. That year I had to take it to several vets but no one could properly diagnose it. We were on the way to the Blue Jay cottage and I had to stop the car 16 times. That’s how sick it was. 3 days later on our way home the dog slept in the car all the time. Believe me or not but after this one visit to the cottage I never brought it to the vet. I like this place very much as it is silent and quiet, gives you best fishing and ravishing sunsets. The owner takes a good care or the place. All visitors respect each other privacy. In the evening they stay around their cottages and enjoy the sunset.”

“This is our first visit to this campsite and we stayed there for two nights. It is not a resort and it does not have a swimming pool. The water supplied outside of the office is not for drinking and we brought our own drinking water. However, it had what we needed. The washroom/shower are about 200m away from our tent site. And there is room for laundry and washing dishes. The Sandbanks beach is close by and we enjoyed boating on the East lake. I also saw many people are having fun fishing there. The camp is full of happy people and the owner visited us at least four times during our stay asking if we need any help. It is a warm, happy land surrounded by beautiful lake and forest. It is crowded and even a bit noisy. But it is moderate (not fancy) place where it is sweet like home. I will definitely go back again and will recommend to my friends.”
